that's not what is on the other thread - there's it's been stated as the flyover must happen asap and has suggested the portsmouth match.. also, those who don't support a protest at this moment aren't allowed to have an opinion? i thought this was an open forum. you're alienating a lot of people there. the majority of my posts today have been trying to ensure you guys don't f*ck it up and actually have a plan that doesn't reflect negatively and is organised, i'm sure @Bantam42 can vouch for that - but if you don't want suggestions then fair enough. 500 followers doesn't mean 500 people support it either, it just means that 500 people are automatically being kept updated with what you tweet.

 

Morning @brisbanebantams - The "Flyover" isn't organised by SOC1903 although we do think it's a bloody fantastic idea, one which certainly myself didn't think had any legs as I know City Fans can be stubborn buggers at times (myself included)
The money which has already been raised is outstanding!
The support which SOC1903 has been outstanding!
Again I didn't think either had any legs but I suppose this just goes to show how much anger we have out there at the moment?

In regards to the aims & objectives of SOC1903, please bear with us!
I came up with the idea on Wednesday morning, 2 people on Wednesday evening thought it was fantastic idea, ran with it then yesterday everyone & anyone was getting behind the idea.
We've had lots of information sent our way, some great stuff from yourself too, so we need to get all this together come up with at least 5 clear objectives, get them out to you guys to make sure you ALL agree then we have lift off!

We're juggling all this with our day jobs too and Family life, busy times, but hopefully exciting times.

 

yep, i get all that and what you are all doing is admirable. however, are you all singing off the same hymn sheet? if there are 3 groups and they all want different things then that’s going to cause problems.

one other point for you and @Bantam42 and others to consider is, if people are going to fly post like has been suggested and it has your logo (would be an idea to copyright it) on, then it will easy to track down and impose a fine - if this creates problems for west yorkshire police then that may have a knock on effect on if they support your protest as they have to sign off on the route etc.

plenty of posters, will question why i care when i don’t want to be part of the protests at this moment - that is because, if the shit hits the fans and this goes negatively, which is has the chance to do very, very quickly then it reflects badly on all of us as fans.

sometimes it’s a case of more haste, less speed to get an organised and thorough movement.

Lets be honest all a protest at this present moment will achieve is more negativity..... scare off future January signings, scare away potential investors & generally p*ss off people who own the club.
There has been no change since the window shut, an apology issued and statements saying backing will be given in January - not sure what has got worse that the Chairman can deal with or change right now.......

Don't put yourself down mate we are all pissed of with the situation at our club, and maybe some are over reacting, (not that I think that is the case), but someone like yourself is always good to give the other side of the debate, the only thing is they way the others are leaving the sinking ship you could be the only pro Edin & Stefan left to fight their cause.

thanks for your concern @Bronco but i’m not putting myself down at all.

also, you’ll struggle to find a post where i have said the owners are doing a good job. what i’ve actually said, on numerous occassions, is that i understand what their aims were and why they were wanting to do it, as in improving infrastructure (that’s another debate that has been done over and over again). that doesn’t equate to thinking or posting that they are doing a good job of those aims or doing it in the right way.

 

Maybe not sack him but perhaps an agreement reached that he leaves? I don't know and it's probably just wishful thinking but the fact that today's statement has come from Rupp alone seems significant, especially given that Edin is currently in Germany. The wording of the tweet from the club announcing the statement is interesting as well;
"Stefan Rupp has spoken of HIS support for head coach David Hopkin, insisting the @officialbantams boss has the full backing of THE CLUB.
Anybody reading it that didn't know we have joint chairmen would be none the wiser that we do would they?

 

We all understood what their intentions were when they came, they weren't going to change things yet Phil told Edin to stick his vision with regards Edins comments about him having coaching badges and knowing football I'm sure most knew why he'd refused to stay under those conditions.
They then got lucky when Julian and I believe James Mason suggested trying Stuart McCall as he was not in work at te time, the following 10 months must have felt like they actually did know football they had found themselves being adored by thousands of Bradford City at Fleetwood and similarly at Wembley.
Then we find out about the unrest behind the scenes after the Wembley game, I have to ask why did Edin feel he needed to get involved more, when things were going as well as could be expected, we know it was his dream but his dream has got us to the position we find ourselves now and because of that alone I could never forgive Edin for being so pig headed, so I find any sort of support for these owners difficult to understand.
1, Because one has been far to involved with day to day stuff including football matters.
2, Because the other either doesn't seem to care and only gets involved when things get s****y and then offers his/their apologies.
With regards infrastructure that could have been done over a period of a few season, unfortunately the pitch was a problem they couldn't ignore, credit for the things they have introduced ticketing, merchandising being brought back in house, and hearing next season possibly bringing hospitality back in house all things that should take Edin's full attention.

 

Interesting but you are right they normally come out with joint statements. Maybe with Rupps help he is going to fade into the woodwork rather than a grand sacking or he is leaving statement; maybe moving somebody into the senior role with full control.

 

Not at all @brisbanebantams ........... Your views would be more than valid - Just don't judge everyone else as being cut from the same length of yarn.

 

well, i’ve just found out i’m ‘banned’ from posting in the thread re the flyover banner. quite proud of that one. seems some people can’t respond to constructive criticism or answer valid questions such as ‘what will the message actually say?’
