mission statement; a short statement of an organization's purpose, identifying the goal of its operations.

code of conduct: lays out an organization's expectations and guiding principles for appropriate behaviour.

i’m sure nobody wants anyone to act in a way which brings a protest group into the news for the wrong reasons that would devalue the aims of the group. for instance, would the group be happy to have a member who threatened the current owners with violence? i’m sure they wouldn’t but if they don’t put out a code of conduct for it’s members and act on any persons bring the group into disrepute, then anyone can act in anyway they want and lay claim to being part of said group which would have a negative effect on it’s aims.

    Simple clear and easily recognisable
Easy to identify, Would look good on Twitter, FB etc.
    It's a brand, a logo.
It doesn't need back stories or taglines - you add those in full.
    The logo identifies

Would look good on car stickers, beer mats, mugs, coasters, tee-shirts, polos etc.

What's it going to achieve though?

A boycott is the only way to hit where it matters. People have to understand that boycotting games isn't a sign of 'giving up' or 'deserting the team'. Its about supporting the long term future of the club, through some short term sacrifice. Tough love, so to speak.

I don’t think campaign is an ‘either or’ type scenario. We can decide to back the campaign by staying away, we can also continue to increase our online presence with a specific logo which all can get behind. I have already said if these owners are still here come season ticket time, I will not buy one. At the moment we (our family) are banning all purchases both inside of the ground and shop.

Fantastic is that @Haworth Bantam@Haworth Bantam and I can assure you this isn't some sort of wind up, we currently have 3 members on here who have been discussing this idea since yesterday.
    Myself, @Bantam42@Bantam42 & @SydneyBantam@SydneyBantam

I remember the "SOS - Save our Stuart" campaign very well, I think people were handing out leaflets at turnstiles if I remember rightly? @WilsdenBantam@WilsdenBantam

At the moment, SOC1903 is literally just starting up, this day & age social media is key to get any message out so we're trying to focus on that first of all then more and more questions will be raised to you guys.

After all, this is about US/THE FANS and what we ALL want and need to achieve.

This whole group might fall flat on its arse and if it does well at least we tried but I and many others can't just stand back anymore and watch all this unfold.
Saying "Edin out" on Twitter doesn't achieve anything, shouting "Edin out" when we go a goal down against doesn't achieve anything, hopefully with the backing of everyone (everyone who agrees with this way of doing things) it "might" just "might" make him sit up and listen and realise this isn't a few anymore it's much bigger.

Suppose anything's better than the "statement" from BCST the other day?

Everyone needs to agree on one way forward and stick together, disagreeing about the best way to do things isn't gonna help, it just divides everyone, and drives number for each individual protest down, and makes them less impactful.

I'm all in on the SOC1903 movement. @CL89@CL89 DM me if you need anything, or i can help in any way.

Football is one of the few industries where fans will still attend when the product's not worth their time, effort or cash. If a once brilliant pub in a fantastic location that was thriving and popular, but was taken over mismanaged and its popularity waned. Would somebody not try and buy it because it was being badly run? Or see that it was once booming and could be again?

Zero potential buyers of City are going to be dissuaded because of 'militant fans'. They'll be diligent enough to research what it was like prior to its mismanagement and hopefully try to replicate those times. If anything, fans protesting indicates that they're committed, passionate and loyal. I'd say any possible owners would rather invest in a business like that. Opposed to one where nobody gives a fig and the club goes downhill without anyone saying or doing anything about it.

Morning @brisbanebantams@brisbanebantams - The "Flyover" isn't organised by SOC1903 although we do think it's a bloody fantastic idea, one which certainly myself didn't think had any legs as I know City Fans can be stubborn buggers at times (myself included)
The money which has already been raised is outstanding!
The support which SOC1903 has been outstanding!
Again I didn't think either had any legs but I suppose this just goes to show how much anger we have out there at the moment?

In regards to the aims & objectives of SOC1903, please bear with us!
I came up with the idea on Wednesday morning, 2 people on Wednesday evening thought it was fantastic idea, ran with it then yesterday everyone & anyone was getting behind the idea.
We've had lots of information sent our way, some great stuff from yourself too, so we need to get all this together come up with at least 5 clear objectives, get them out to you guys to make sure you ALL agree then we have lift off!

We're juggling all this with our day jobs too and Family life, busy times, but hopefully exciting times.

Not sure if you're a WUM looking for click bait given how many topics on this thread are started on an hourly basis and the sheer number of different blogs/websites/crowd funding etc. started by the keyboard crew... but what about this:

What about the tagline "Came with a dream, created a nightmare" or is that too pushy?

at this moment in time i won’t be getting involved personally, i’m not sure some posters on this board could handle that haha - but if it is to be done it has to be done properly and peacefully within what is legal and acceptable. as in; no personal abuse and no abuse of club officials, no negativity brought on the club itself or it’s supporters, no marching down manningham lane beer cans in hand, no hostility towards fans who don’t join in or opposing fans and it has to be arranged with the proper channels, as in wyp force.

it has to have a clear aim, is it a change in ownership or a change in direction / investment, etc.

also, not sure what colours have been used for the image but the club’s pannatone colours are 137c and 208c i think (it’s an ocd thing).

you also need a spokesman, someone to head the group without hiding behind a profile on twitter or message board. otherwise it may come across as a underground vigilante project. also bear in mind, whatever happens - this may or may not have a knock on effect on the club for years to come, of which everything may not be positive.

It may seem strange coming from me but I'm not in yet as it stands. I want Rupp and David out but I have to temper that with wanting my team to stay in the division. The main problem comes from any potential investors. We pretty much know the usual suspects are circling the carcass but don't want to pay anything for it. If we do stay up they will not pay the price Rupp and David want. As much as the squad is pathetic at the moment unfortunately it's still my team, it hurts when they lose as it does any time the claret and Amber loses. I just wish Rahic had done things differently, there was no reason for us to be in this mess and any sensible criticism aimed his way is fully justified as he has brought this all on himself. I still can't believe the errors he has made, almost all of them were easily avoidable if he really knew his football.

you need to decide on your aim / message before you fly your banner. if your aims are better investment then 'edin out' conflicts with that message. if your message is for a change in ownership and then we improve with more investment comes, does your aim change? flying a banner too early, may lead to eventual clashes in what your aims are and make it look like you don't know what you want. how are you raising funds? do your meetings take minutes? are these minutes shared? is the group open publicly to question or just for those that join? is there a group secretary? treasurer? list of members, etc, etc. who decides on what your message and aims are, is there a democratic vote? would those who didn't agree be happy to toe the party line or not? would these lead to a separate group? are you claiming to speak for all city fans or just the protest group?

there's a lot to think about before you start.

Time of year for scary font? Looks like something you'd see on a packet of Monster Munch. Not that I would do any better mind.

I like this, but would look better if we had ‘est 1903’ as well as being part of the logo. Not too sure about the anchor, we don’t really have any links with sea farers. What about a proud Bantam *@?$, not humorous, just a proud one showing his feathers. We could have the circle platted wool with two colours Claret and Amber. Just a few on my thoughts, hope thats ok.
