    Exactly
He would have bought the same dream as we did with an increase ( no bad thing) in season ticket prices
We will continue to flip from manager to manager (occasionally getting the right man)
Until the club have an identity a structure for him to follow
At the moment the tail is wagging the dog not very successfully

Yeah but that's like what I felt like when I was a kid - "if I get a pair of Predator boots for Xmas, then I'll start scoring for fun next year". During the summer transfer window, I saw nothing to suggest that Rupp is going to fund the club with money to add "3 or 4 quality individuals". Why let us get in a situation like this, if there's money to be spent? Logic would dictate that its better to fund the club when there's plenty of players on the market, rather than waiting until the team isn't performing in January. We've heard it from so many managers...players take time to gel. That's the reason most business is done pre season. January signings more often or not, are to bolster the squad, cover for injuries, or get that one player in that can lift the whole team. We've also heard from the manager at the close of the last window, that there's no budget to be spent. The money we got from Crankshaw, I'm presuming went towards setting up the wages for the new scouting team. That business in itself is laughable - spending the last money in the pot on a scouting network, whose wages have taken away the wages/transfer fee of the very players they are looking to sign!

Maybe I'm wrong! Hope I'm wrong! I hope that Rupp backs and funds Adams, and his scouting team can bring 3 or 4 quality players in and turn those draws into wins. I'm also hoping that those players can a) be found b) hit the ground running and c) handle the pressure of expectation that they'll have due to the complete balls up of our strategy for this season. It just feels like Rupp and Sparks are flying by the seats of their pants (Sparks) or sticking their head in the sand (Rupp) and hoping all will come good. As I mentioned before, if things don't pan out as Adams expects come the end of January, I can see him walking.

I admire your optimism, I really do. But in all honesty, do you think Rupp will release money to sign "3 or 4 quality players" and where do you think these players will come from?

Correction. It's our money being provided for transfers from ticket sales etc.

I can see that he might suggest that other factors may well be contributing. However to say categorically that the training doesn’t have any impact, even if it is only one player, seems to a very bold comment. I think you have to look at all the evidence, before being so forceful in your views. He seems to be saying it is beyond reasonable doubt, which is a very high threshold.

Setting aside the training regime itself for a moment. Who is reponsible for the post-training and pre-match conditioning regimes?

@borderlescott@borderlescott, shall we scrub last night's result from the winless run statistic? I know you don't like including cup games and, it was only the inconsequential FA Cup! Also naughty Exeter, gave us every chance by starting with seven reserves and you don't like including games where some reserves play. I'm trying to find a positive for you. Were our xG stats better? Did the rain blow into our eyes second half? Or were we just out thought by a better manager who got his tactics spot on?

We are basically back where we were in the late 2000's hoping to luck in like we did when Parkinson was appointed after we'd initially passed him over in favour of Taylor, then gone a completely different way in appointing Jackson and trying Archie's "development squad" before going back to him to clear up their mess.

Religionists laugh at people who don’t believe
Anti vaxxers laugh at those who take a vaccine

There are always two sides to an argument, xG has its place, but it’s not the be all and end all of football.

    Crankshaw money and January window.

    Difficult time to recruit.
Nobody available who fits our style.
Nobody available who improves the squad we have
We’re not going up or down so we’re saving the money for the summer.
We’re happy with what we have, when Eisa, Angol, Cook, Cooke, Canavan, POC, Sutton and Songo’o all recover from their hamstring injuries they’ll be like new signings.
We don’t want to be the next Bury or Macclesfield. Be grateful for what you have, Stefan supports this club and loves it more than you. Buy more season tickets, sponsorship and membership of the Chris Withe club or we might go out of business and that will be your fault.

Let’s anticipate a PR ‘bid’ for a bigger player in this window which won’t be accepted as it won’t be realistic or we’ll go in for a player with much better options but we’ll say “we tried for x but can’t compete with y”

Why have we waited so long? He has been out weeks it could have been done and nearly recovered by now

Ambition and spending Bolton only signed two players last January the rest were loans

I don't think it's about money and spending big in January if we do what they did half our team will be on loan that can't cost that much surely

Loans still cost. Whatever we do in January will be restricted by balancing the cost of any incoming with outgoings, plus whatever nominal fee we got for Crankshaw.

The most worrying point is from two years ago, where Macclesfield had one point less than we have now and went down after finishing second bottom.

    I don’t.

It was clear in the summer we lacked quality and we should have used the loan market to get better in.

    Bit too late in Jan.

Not sure if that's the cast Steve, he did say he preferred to take loan players in the January window as he believed before the season starts many are not match fit and they are then playing catch up.
