Think he must be very good then, if we are willing to take him on loan, maybe they are paying his wages?

 

Surprised a top club like Wolves allowing a player to join us on loan without knowing who our manager/coach is going to be, and how we are setting up to play next season.

What he's not good enough for Wolves first team, they are a tinpot club not even won the Premiership. If he cant get in there team hes not good enough for us. Besides Edin signed him so he's crap & Dutch which is near Germany so hate it.

That said, sounds interesting - this squad is getting a bit more exciting all the time if people choose to see it!

We always seem to be willing to take more of a risk with our wingers and not necessarily in a good way.

Gilliead and Seedorf*- completely unproven.
Robinson and Gibson- development projects with potential.
Law and Taylor- playing out of their preferred position to play out wide

Neglect is strong word but we never seem to take this position too seriously. In fact, I don't even think we've brought in a single proven winger under our current regime. The only one we've had on our books is Mark Marshall and he showed how valuable one can be. I don't know anything about Seedorf and he could turn out to absolutely brilliant, but due to the risk involved I hope we still after a more experienced winger who accompany him (assuming we do sign Seedorf of course). Last year we pinned all of our hopes on an unproven Gilliead for creativity, and we suffered as a result. Although let's hope this lad is more in the Cullen/Burke mould than Gilliead.

Yer, was also going to ask if anyone else was closing their eyes and doing a little prayer along the lines of "please just be even half as good as Clarence"!

 

TBF to Wolves, they’re never going to do anything in the Premiership, seen as it’s either a Scottish Football League or a different sport altogether (Rugby Union).


But on a serious note, stop the afternoon drinking mate. “This Squad is getting a bit more exciting all the time”!!! I’m all for positivity and we all know how much it’s welcome at the moment, but let’s not go overboard. We’ve signed a dev squad striker and 2 boys that have played a handful of senior games between them (3 if we do sign Seedorf). The only other signing was a lad that had 1 excellent season in front of goal.

All welcome additions and may prove to be astute signings, but can we hold back on the quips towards others, i.e. “if people choose to see it!”

 

Never feel as enthusiastic about loans though I must admit I like being able to say one of "our lads" is going to the world cup 2/3 years later.

 

Again like Wright I believe that he has been promised he will play and if so it doesn't matter who the HC is does it?

@Idlebantam you're the new HC of Bradford but you've to play these players no matter what? Go feck Edin.

It's no shock why they isn't s list of top managers wanting Bradford City's HC Job.

 

Agree, I am sure we probably did try and sign him. But know what you mean.

 

For a club in a limited budget it's absolutely essential that we use the loan market well. Players can develop a hell of a lot faster in a successful outfit rather than one struggling to pick up points each week.
