    Reasonably strong in defence and possibly in midfield but it illustrates our lack of quality and depth up front. This shows that we still need 2 good strikers assuming Charlie moves on.

    3-0 is a good result even against a Championship club's development squad and I certainly wouldn't knock the score line.

    But of course it's the quality of the squad (not just the starting XI) which will define our season. If our aspiration is to push for promotion, I still see weaknesses in our team especially when injuries, illnesses, loss of form etc start to have an impact. We don't yet have the depth of quality in the squad to sustain a promotion push imo. As I've said before, this current squad has the same feel to our starting squad last season. And to begin with that certainly worked and better than I expected. But unfortunately it eventually caught up with us and a mid table finish probably properly reflected the quality of last season's squad. If we are to do better than mid table this season and get more fans through the turnstiles, we need better quality in a few key areas.
