Not sure it matters with you whatever the club does to be honest, you will find a negative or something to whinge about either way. There has been enough positive sound bites in the last couple of weeks for fans to get behind. Certainly when a season ticket costs £150!!!! I

'll be very brave and say that this is one of the best value for money season tickets in the UK very easily for the level of football we're at. If you're debating over £6.50 or whatever it works out a home game my advice is not to renew.

I felt the same as you last month about lack of direction, no positive news etc but as I said, they have put plenty out over the last couple of weeks from Julian, Bowyer etc. I appreciate the deadline maybe should go to the end of the month but the fact is we are a business and every business is working to sort of budget and we need to ascertain what sort of budget we have.

    Back the club.

Talking to a lad at work who didnt renew last summer because of the way the club was run by Rahic, he has renewed for next season, so thats at least 1 fan returning despite relegation

I think one of the things about your position, which seems to be a totally ‘dual standard’, is that you rant on about not going to watch City in League Two, yet you go to Lincoln (League two) and Harrogate (National Conference) and Farsley (Northern Premier League).

To ‘come on strong’ about City in League two, yet to go to these clubs seems somewhat hypocritical.

If you have fallen out of love with City and fancy a bit of alternative Lower and Non League Football ‘on the side’, at least be honest!

    Basically cut the .................

I note on twitter that Gary Bowyer is ringing folk to thank them for renewing, or encouraging them to renew - what a thankless task that must be...but i hope he rings me. that'd be fun.

I wasn't going to VP due to the way Edin was running the club. Didn't sit right with me. I started attending games again in January, I have also now taken out a ticket for the 19/20 season.

Not if folk are unprepared to pay it. Getting 15,000 buying at £150 will still only raise as much as 11,000 paying £200 and you potentially lose sponsorship revenue by losing a bigger audience

I’m still not convinced we lost 4,000 just because of the Rahic factor. Some refused the increase too

The SCMP rules are clear. Paying off a player's contract is part of the wage cap in the season when it's done. And the SCMP mechanism doesn't provide for losses being carried backwards and forward between seasons. Paying players off is therefore a double whammy as it impacts on the club's finances and on its SCMP limit in the season when it's done. Paying off a contract is merely accelerating what would have been paid anyway to the player (more or less) and there is still the small problem of having to pay for a replacement.

It proves how dumb some of our recruitment has been when the club has to consider doing this on any scale.

Go back to what was offered season before last, including flexis, and target selling out every single seat. It's an achievable target in such a large city with plenty of time to do it.

Sorry, but this is rubbish. Ask the players if they'd rather play in front of 8k or 16k fans in the stadium. They'd all rather have as many fans in as possible rather than playing to empty seats. And if they don't they're bottlers who we don't want in our squad anyway.
Lawn and Rhodes are hard-nosed businessmen. They worked out that reducing ST prices and getting 15-20,000 people in the stadium was good for publicity, atmosphere and revenue (tickets, advertising and sponsorship). Hard core fans like you, I and many on this board would pay double or more and still go regularly, but many people wouldn't and the club would likely lose revenue rather than gain it. Don't you think they'd have put prices up before now if they really believed they would increase revenue by doing so? Bradford is a poor area; the cheap season ticket strategy is the best strategy for maximising revenue.

So why did you predict we would be in relegation battles every close season, even as we were were making year on year improvement?

Funny, you weren't describing McMahon as a 'top quality Div 1 player' when he was here.

That's fine as far as it goes. Many owners do provide their clubs with so called soft loans at zero interest rates. Others provide loans at low interest rates, eg the Wilco family at Scunny, whilst some (a minority) charge a market rate eg Mandaric at Wednesday whose interest rates are eye watering! And some others provide it differently via equity, eg Lansdown at Bristol, with no guarantee of dividends or ever seeing their money again. The important thing for owners who provide loans to their club isn't just that they can have their loans repaid in times of plenty (that goes without saying) but how well those loans are protected when things go tits up. To protect their interests, most, if not every owner who provides a loan to their club registers it via a charge on the club and becomes a secured creditor. This is how ML arranged his loan so that if the club is ever liquidated or even placed in Administration by the owner, the owner is at the head of the queue as a secured creditor. It makes perfect sense from the owner's perspective and that is the norm. Any owner who has loaned a significant amount and doesn't do that needs his head examining!

How is he depriving the club of money, if he's already bought a season ticket?
