Yes the old owner was Richmond and the new owners at that time were the Rhodes who bought the club from the administrators

Not to sure on that, You may be right but when you are relegated from the football league it is taken from the relegated club as you are no longer a member, The club promoted in your place then receives a golden share to entitle to play in the league

it wasn’t a gesture it was part of the CVA when we went into admin post GR ownership. So legally they had to honour what was in the CVA unless agreed otherwise with the creditors involved

yep because that is in the ownership rules that you have to forfeit it. But unless that happens or you are expelled the ownership is held by the club. That is what the majority of the value of a lot of lower league clubs is

What was the crack with this 25 year thing after all the administration stuff? Were the club legally obligated to recompense supporters or was it a good will gesture by the new regime in charge?

After CVA 1 it was a legal thing as it was written into CVA as agreed and lodged at Companies Houses.

CVa2 is unclear as it was discussed during meetings right up to the final meeting but the administrators never lodged the final documents with Companies House, or more likely they just haven’t been uploaded to view.

Well, shall I renew my season ticket? New experienced manager, loads of rubbish players who'll be gone in the summer, competitive budget next season, lots of optimism from the CEO.
Yes, that's what I was thinking this time last year.
So what do I do this year?

It was a goodwill gesture to avoid pissing off 800 of the clubs most dedicated fanbase.
But offering a £50 discount per year to 800 fans is hardly gonna bankrupt the club is it.

It will be nearly a million pounds over the years. However I am only posting about those that paid by C C and claimed the money back on that card but still use the discount

Unfortunately I'm well and truly out of the ST lark, I called it a day during the L1 disaster season and as it stands it looks a good choice, real shame really as despite living over the border by only about 2/3 miles may I add in Cliviger on outskirts of Burnley, I still was always up for going games but that season finished me, and to make it even harder for my return I often get free Blackburn tickets, I can get Burnley tickets as many as I want for £7 each and I also get the occasional Liverpool tickets, so I do get my live football fix. Obviously I know it's not the same and all that and even my 17yr old lad who comes with me to these games would much prefer going to watch a City team worth following despite him being born over here. I would love nothing more than me and my lads team City to force my hand and give us no choice but to come back to follow a team worthy of the shirt.

So you will come back to watch games if we start winning games and look like we’re on the up ,so who do you want to win when you go to watch Burnley or Blackburn ,or do you just go to watch a game of football ,Do you watch our games on iFollow or listen to the radio commentary of our matches ,I have been watching city for 50 years ,win lose or draw , they are my team not interested in going to watch anyone else,I do enjoy watching football on telly but I’m not bothered who wins ,unless Leeds are playing ovoiusly want who Evers playing against them to stuff them , I can’t imagine watching anyone else

All this talk of crap football it’s still good value for money I could pay more and go and watch Scarborough who’s season tickets are considerably more expensive than ours in a much lower standard of football.
I am going to watch them in the play offs tuesday who knows they might convert me. No chance

£40 per win, one win in a dead rubber against the worst team in professional football and another against 10 men after being behind. Not sure it’s the best value for money, people want to be entertained regardless of price, can anyone say this season has been entertaining what so ever? It’s noble what the club does regarding price, but it can’t rest on its laurels and say it’s good value for money unless it’s actually a good product, which in professional football terms it certainly isn’t. If I’d have been given a season ticket free this season I’d still be complaining at what we’ve but up with this season, just as if id paid £400 and we’d won a league title I’d be celebrating and remembering it for the rest of my life.

In Admin 1, the 25 year's could have been treated as any other creditor and been given some of their money back. That obviously didn't happen largely because of the cost of doing it. Better not to treat them as creditors but instead continue to honour the club's obligations.

Admin 2 was somewhat different. The Administrator effectively cleared most of the debts of the 'old' company including paying off the creditors at 1p in the pound and negotiating various deals with the banks etc. He could have done the same for the 25 yearers snd given them each £20! He didn't of course and I don't recall any particular conclusions on the 25 yearers being agreed. The 25 year deal was simply allowed to lapse. When JR'S 'new' company had bought the remains of the old company from the Administrator, he had no legal responsibility for the 25 year deal. Fortunately and in fairness to JR, he didn't just accept that and instead honoured his responsibilities whilst of course getting some additional funds into the club. As a result nobody lost out to a significant degree and some, ie those who were also recompensed by their credit card companies, were quids in!

I think that is where the issue is. The 25 years were classed as creditors first time but not second time, surely they either were or weren't.

That's not my understanding. They weren't regarded as creditors in Admin 1 otherwise they would have to have been involved in the negotiation and settlement of the CVA. They were excluded from all of that. The 25 year deals just continued as before.

In Admin 2 I believe they were overlooked, deliberately or otherwise. Had JR not honoured the deal, the 25 yearers who weren't reimbursed by their credit card companies could have challenged the Administrator in what would have been a very expensive court case. Fortunately for all, it never came to that.
