    Correction:

    Florida.

Florida is not at all representative of the way the US is handling the Coronavirus.

Florida, in fact, isn't at all representative of the US full stop.

I wouldn't be looking at Superbowl crowds as a positive, or using Florida as the epitome of America either.

so if deaths and hospitalisation return to the high levels after the lockdown is removed are you suggesting just to let large numbers of people die? Just checking that is what you are saying?

I imagine quite a lot of the Super Bowl crowd will now be positive

If i had wrote that then yes thats what i would have been saying. But i didn't. So i'm not. This virus is going to be around for a long time yet to the point where we manage it rather than fully get rid of it. A vaccination programme is the only way to allow us to start to get back to some normality. That programme is now fully under way with the most vulnerable and keyworkers being targeted first. And i would expect, no i would pretty much guarantee that in 8 months time lockdown measures will have relaxed enough to allow closed shops and entertainment venues to reopen, albeit in a controlled manner. I've as much chance catching covid at a supermarket as i have a controlled environment like a sports stadium. There will be enough people vaccinated and the R number will have fallen sufficienty enough for this to happen.

I totally agree with what you have said SHOULD happen, and hopefully it will, BUT with the variants it may not work as planned. So I will ask you again.

if the numbers rise again after lockdown is relaxed due to vaccination phase 1 finishing what is your suggestion? The only two options I can see are a further lockdown or just let it happen. Is there another option?

By your scenario we will never be able to watch a football match or go to the beach ever again. Are we seriously looking at years to be able to hug people again? And if we are by some strange logic talking next year or beyond then as i said before i'll take my very unlikely mathematical chance of catching it. My mum and dad are in their last few years of life, both coming to the end and have been locked up now for nearly a year. They have both had jabs, when they've had their second one i'll be more than happy to see out the remainder of their life as was normal. No more hiding behind a closed door worrying something MIGHT happen.

As you seem unwilling to answer the simple question I’ll drop it. But I’ll leave you with this.

just because you think something will happen doesn’t mean it will. It was thought the vaccines would be successful but as we have seen the main one used in the UK doesn’t cover the SA variant as well and that variant is now spreading, and new ones Manchester yesterday, it shows things don’t always go to plan

I didn't 'answer' because i don't see that scenario happening so its pointless me commenting. Forget the crap on the TV and look forward to 7 or 8 months down the line when the vaccination programme will start to reap reward. The media only look for the negative story, anything else doesn't suit their narrative.

we shall wait and see what the case is in 6 months time and I do hope that it goes to plan but looking at the last 12 months I’m not holding my breath

Good debate @Rogered Tart@Rogered Tart and @Storck@Storck. What you have higlighted is that, no matter what we hope for, the likelihood is that season tickets will go on sale surrounded by doubts as to just what people will end up getting when they purchase their season ticket.

It is going to be a tricky marketing exercise to say the least.

If we go through next season as we have done this season then a fair few lower league clubs wil definitely not finish the season. Clubs are just about survivng through the uncertainty as it is, the league won't survive another season like it. Without the revenue from season ticket sales clubs can't survive.

Are any clubs actually talking about refunding season ticket money for this current season if fans don’t get back in? Or is it a case of you had the ifollow instead?

In my house i paid for two tickets but only watch one ifollow with me and my lad. I didn't get an ifollow for my lad. Be interesting to see what the club does, the debate was quite split from what i remember before when this qustion came up about refunds for last season.

Little Mix have rearranged their tour from this year to next.

I think those that think fans will be back as in vast numbers this year are mugging themselves right off.
