If I’d had the vaccines yes, otherwise what’s the point in having them to not go back to normal life and live like a hermit for years?

You can't put this season ticket sales into the the debate, 8,000 is a great effort when we didn't know the situation going forward, without doubt our cheap ticket get us big home attendances, I believe we got 14,000 in Rahic's last season at the club.

Football support has an inelastic demand. If you increase the price, yes the support will fall to a degree but the revenue will increase even further.

But ultimately, it's not about the headline price - it's about affordability.

Burnley operates a pay monthly scheme to spread payments. So you get people to sign up on 1st March and by the 1st August, you've got 6 months cash in the bank.

Charge £25 a month and it's very affordable (83p a day. Less than a Snickers at a petrol station) - perceived as easier to pay than £150 in a lump sum. At a stoke, you've doubled your season ticket income.

Also getting people on direct debit results in less churn and it's an easier way to ratchet prices gradually by CPI+

When Sky came out, people paid £100 per annum for TV licenses and people thought the TV licence was expensive. Now people pay over £1k a year on Sky by paying monthly. The direct debit goes up every year 2 weeks before the football season starts.

So it's never just about price and always more about affordability. It's why people buy new cars on PCP finance.

Burnley collects over 100% of their revenue (defaulters lose access and pay a reinstatement fee which more than covers the bad debt)

Very simple to introduce with a mobile phone scanning the ticket QR code. The software is a couple of grand and Android phones £50-100 would be needed at turnstiles to validate the season tickets.

I don't disagree with that, the wording was a nonsense, I just agreed with the overall point.

Not to mention additional season tickets that have been sold on the back of the 25 year deals - kids, friends etc.....who’ve also come along.
Shaft the 25 yearers and potentially lose those who come along with.
That aside, not sure now is the time to be increasing season ticket prices - if and when we see a positive turn on the pitch then they should capitalise with incremental increases.

I would suggest no one got their money in full back, as we had already played some games which would then be subtracted from the original £2500.
But the club got the full £2500 from fans who paid by credit card, so lost no revenue.

I believe most people, who claimed back from their credit card companies, got just short of £2,000 back. Many of those will have spent more than that on their season ticket in subsequent seasons so, based on the deal they signed up for, they are already running at a loss.

I am aware of one person who successfully claimed over £3,000 back from their credit card company, as they were able to successfully claim for future losses, based on the season ticket price at the time they made their claim.

You're being somewhat optimistic. I suggest you recalculate your numbers. You seem to have missed out an important step ..... the second dose of the vaccine! Unless of course, you're not planning on having a second one ;)

That would be a back door to introducing a Health Visa. Although I can see the sense in it.

However anyone who attempted to purchase separate Health Insurance, which is really an extremely wise move, would probably find the premium far higher, unless they had been vaccinated. If someone made a false declaration, then it would invalidate the Insurance.

It is unlikely we will get in VP this season, selling Season Tickets for next season will be tough. Although present form will help. But is it about time we got some tiering into the pricing, premium seats premium prices, cheaper pricing for less favourable seats. Think at least £350 for halfway prime seats but £100 in a poor view seat

And imagine if we’d have had the same attitude as you and nobody bought one. You might not have a club to come back to post Covid.
So yes I think everyone who bought for this season should get the same or better deal.

I fancy a chance at better seats, fast track bar service, parking etc, all demand a premium more money for club, we need to move on from pound shop mentality

When club receive clarity from the government about if and when fans allowed Back next season, is when season tickets will go on sale

Tier the seats now change the mindset- even if you allow renewals discounted, we have to move on

If the club had a budget of over £2.5 million last season, yet the introduction of the EFL salary cap is £1.5 million, then I really would question the need to increase Season Ticket prices at present. Perhaps if we were going into League 1 and the cap was £2.5 once again, there could be some justification for a modest increase. If the stadium was our own, then you could see the benefits going into an upgrade over and above the maintenance style work that takes place now, then fine, but otherwise I see no pressing need.
