That's a nonsense argument. Because I don't know how to run a football club, I shouldn't expect us to be a well run one?

This attitude pervades everything about us. 'Be grateful for what you've got', or 'if you can do better, ring the club'.

Ridiculous notion.

 

PL league clubs are preparing for all of next season played behind closed doors.

You not figured out that if the PL is behind closed doors then the EFL will be too.

Why would I be happy that next season may be played behind closed doors but if that's the way it is I'm sure I'll get by. Aslong as me and my family stay safe and in good health.

If you are lucky one day you will reach pension age and life will become very different focus will change and you will be limited in your activities it doesn't mean you are open to or deserve such comments

 

Ok, I suppose it's a case of he has to remember that £150 for some of the young Jan big money and yes the love of Bradford City is there but it doesn't mean that you have to give Bradford City money to make out you're a super fan.

Many Bantams fans around the world don't go to games or as many as they should but I don't look don't at them. Bradford City is in the hearts of many but it's the club, the greed or other factors that puts people off.

 

Agree Fordys post came across unpleasant but I think I understand his underlying point. I don't think it was meant to be a personal dig. Pensioners today ( and i do understand many have worked all their lives and are struggling massively to get by) but many of those who have worked hard and made sensible provision, are enjoying pensions way beyond the reach of many working today. FFS was i defending Fordy? He's just misunderstood

 

So you don't have an idea how to run a football club but you expect it to be a well run one? How do you determine what a well run one is, if you have no idea how to run one? Intrigued.

 

I have a view of what I'd expect a well run club to look and behave like. Indicators of good - and bad - performance and planning. How you establish that on a day to day basis is something I have no experience of inside a football club. I know what it takes in other industries and I know how I'd like to see it done here, but it would be naive to think I know exactly how you'd achieve it, which is why - even if I had the money, I wouldnt buy a football club. And if I did, I'd undertake extensive due diligence in what it WOULD take, and I'd have capable, experienced professionals lined up in leadership roles to land my strategy. There's nothing to suggest Rupp's done any of that and plenty to suggest he hasnt.

From the very top of this club, the only thing our leaders have any real experience in is failure, poor financial control and an inability to find and/or identify a sustainable plan to take this club forward. I think the closest we came was a 2-3 year period under Parkinson that look entirely down to Parkinson and even that wasnt sustainable because our budgetary approach depended entirely on cup runs and sales clauses, all of which limited the length of our strategic planning.

To over simplify in order to make a point. I know what a good flight experience feels like. But I dont know how to fly a plane or run an airline

 

I think the Government have enough to do at the moment, don't you?
