Neither do I. But I can see why we wouldn’t go for those players if thats the case

Or we would have to have a lot of confidence in them being first team regulars ie Cullen Pickford

Oxford, are getting Ben Woodburn on loan. Which is a great signing.

Liverpool have a load of youth players that could do with loans.

How am I deluded? Bower would be foolish not to offer to take one.

Typical Karl Robinson that... He's not able to be successful without loaning players the club he's at wouldn't be able to afford in reality. The one time he had to do it he got sacked after MK Dons were relegated.

It is a well known fact that in most cases if a player is actually playing the parent club will cover anywhere from 50-90% of the players wages. If a loan player isn’t in the starting 11 the % goes down (therefore the club where the player is on loan has to pay more) and if the player doesn’t even get in the team it goes down to zero in some cases (unless there are injured or suspended). Some clubs will even insist that the loan players train at least once per week at their parent club dependant on the distance involved. It is a very grey area.

When the Bantams had the clown goalkeeper on loan from Hudders (Eastwood) McCall’s hands were tied as he was being told by a certain former owner he had to play as Hudders only covered a large % of his wages if he did. From memory I think it was 2/3 of his wage, if he didn’t play we paid all of it (which was about £3k per week).

I never understood the love in for Pickford. He was a good shot stopper but his ability to deal with crosses was abysmal and is still his major weakness. He was also sent off at least twice for rushing out of his box unnecessarily.

He also had an almighty hissy fit when Parky didn’t play him in the FA Cup 1/4 final vs Reading, instead keeping faith quite rightly with Ben Williams. Sunderland hadn’t allowed him to be cup tied until we knocked them out. Poyet allegedly told Pickford it was up to Parkinson and wouldn’t interfere, however Pickford demanded he went back to Sunderland. Arrogant nob head

Read it properly. My comments are that he was over rated for us. I couldn’t give a shit what he’s done at Sunderland or Everton as I don’t support them

He wasn't over rated for us. You just didn't think he was that good.

    Give over.

Matt Clarke and Gary Walsh are 2 that immediately spring to mind

Yes, he didn't play in the Reading quarter final because his loan had lapsed the day before the game and Parky couldn't therefore select him! He came to us on a youth loan (not the usual 'standard' loan) which expire on the day before the player's 21st birthday. Unfortunately, Pickford's 21st birthday was on the day of the Reading game (March 7trh) and therefore he couldn't play because of the terms of a youth loan. He returned to Sunderland, not because Pickford demanded it but because he could no longer play for us as a youth loanee.

Why did we get into this position? We ballsed up in part in the January transfer window, by not changing his youth loan to a full 'standard' loan for the second half of the season. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good 'hissy fit' story!

Not as good as Pickford granted his first game was a nightmare for crosses. But after that he was outstanding in all areas and his kicking was and is the best from any keeper I have seen

And as per my reply, very good for us and the highest transfer fee for a British goal keeper can they all be wrong?.
