That's good. January is only a few days away so hopefully he will get the support he needs in the window.

As for us, I hope these recent victories doesn't make the club think we don't need to bring in some good new blood.

I'm sure we will be fine this season but I'd rather start building next seasons squad now rather than later.

He was brilliant yesterday. A couple of saves he had no right to make one in front of the kop was blinding.

The new rule is that if the player makes a genuine attempt to get the ball but mistimes and fouls, it is just a yellow card and not the automatic red that it would have been a couple of years ago.

You missed the bits where we praised the attitude of your players. Leadership from Caddis/Doyle etc. Alnwick made four or five good saves, which we mention, but in the first half there were two instances where there was no communication between Mcardle and the keeper, one that led to the pen. Ref was poor but no complaints over the red card despite the first being harsh. On another day it could and should have been 4/5-0.

 

Very true. We need options don't we?

Without doubt "on another day it could and should have been 4/5-0" just thought the early comment about the pitch was an excuse.
As you will know and have seen from yesterday's reception for Stuart the man is a living Legend, but the stats of the game are very much stats of a Stuart McCall team plenty of possession but in the wrong area's, you don't harm teams outside the final third,at one time during the first half Scunthorpe had 60%.
I though Alnwick was outstanding on the day and although you suggest he had full view of everything when he gave the penalty away Rory should have had the ball in row Z, facing his own goal with a forward harassing him, big boot Rory.

 

Rory has gone at the game. Felt sorry for him yesterday.
