No scout or club, is going to be convinced by one great performance so far this year - so I don't think the players are as calculating as you think

The fact is we have some decent players, who simply haven't performed - but it doesn't mean that's set in stone forever. History is littered with players who looked pants one season and great the next. I maintain, that neither Collins or Hopkin had the correct man-management skills and I think Bowyer does.

It's significant that, in recent years, all the sides (Doncaster, Blackpool, Coventry, MK Dons and Bury) that had a successful L2 season (i.e. made the play-offs) following relegation, all had or have managers who've done it before. Bury is the only exception to this, i.e. experience of the lower leagues and what works and what doesn't is vital

 

I always thought Anderson was a winger anyhow, so when we signed him, thats where I thought he would be playing.

No. We need to move on. Not wallow in anger and resentment. If you remember those "flakers" put it together in December - they have simply been mentally weak, but it doesn't mean that we dispense with the lot. Scannell, coming back has also made a massive difference, simply because we now give defences something different to think about

formations irrelevant imo, the issues with these wage thieves is in their heads. selfish, entitled cowards to a man and barely any of them deserve to wear the shirt. Can't put in to words how much of a disgrace I think they are.

 

this, being big doesnt mean you can win headers. vincelot was about as tall as a small child yet won pretty much every header he went for.

 

Amazing how simple it can be sometimes. I always thought Devine was decent defensive midfielder - which is vital if you playing with two wide-men. I remember Devine starting the 16/17 season off very well

A bit of perspective ladies and gentlemen. Beating the 2nd worst team in the division at this moment when there is no pressure on us. I don't really care what the last two performances are and i hope it doesn't persuade bowyer any different either. Thankfully it looks like Bowyer has made up his mind who he hopes to get rid of, hopefully most of this squad if we are lucky.

 

I can totally understand a large degree of pessimism and doubt being totally inevitable after the dreadful season we have had but whatever your feelings on GB all I would say is it hard to promote how important it is that we at least already have a degree of certainty as to what we want to do over the summer - and this is before the current season has finished.
This time last year we had total uncertainty in every part of the club, and that was maintained throughout the summer leading to one of the worst seasons we have ever endured. I have been pro GB since he came in but I can totally relate to the questions that have been asked of him due to our very poor results in his reign to date. Just hang in there guys

 

He's after a contract he will be, we've seen it many times over the years.

and I'll continue to pour scorn on them until they get the feck out of our club. We as fans have backed them to the hilt all season and they showed how much they care, its time to let them know they aren't welcome anymore.
