@Onside87 if you think he's coming back to League Two, you're badly mistaken.

 

Banks would definitely benefit being in a team that has a more attack based focus than us. I thought the views of their fans were bang on, he's not particularly quick but his first touch is very good and Carlisle understood the threat he posed by doubling up on him in both legs. Started off wanting to come inside when he first played by developed into going down the touchline as well and by the end of the season way ahead of any of the other wide players we used.

 

Absolutely no chance, so who else have they got seeing we “ developed “ him so well?

 

Was listening to the last podcast from the Peterborough chairman and the City fan earlier on. He mentioned Posh might well sell their young assets if big money bids come in. But if their young wingers get snapped up, Banks would slot into the way they play perfectly. If he gets an extension at Palace, that top end L1 club who play quick and on the deck would be perfect for Banks.

 

Maybe, Maybe not - BUT I don't think he will ever play in L2 again. He's on an upward trajectory and will be at the very least in L1 next year. Don't be surprised if he rocks up on a year's loan at Leyton orient or Peterborough

And coming from the "Master of Strange Comments" that just shows how strange it is. I think there is more chance of Leeds staying up than Banks ending up back in L2. The boy will have a very good career.

 

Bookmark it. He won’t. Nothing strange about it. Not like our fan base to go OTT over a player though is it. All getting very over excited that Dion came back this summer. That went well.

 

I'm not saying he's Championship quality now but in a few years he could be. If Palace don't want him then he's a good player for a Championship club to get as in investment and loan out to a league 1 club like when Barnsley took the gamble on George Miller

I don't think Banks is anywhere near Premier League quality, personally, but I wouldn't be too surprised if he got an appearance of two if he stays put.

It's not that unusual for young lads to get a run out here and there.

But a regular berth, even on the bench? Not a chance.

For me, Banks isn't in the same league as Reach was, but could carve out a living at a bottom end Championship side (a Plymouth-type club, for example) or a top even League One side (a Barnsley-type club).

 

It would be interesting to know who wants to stay. Maybe a few of the players don't buy in to Hughes's way of playing and the role they're given. There's definitely a feel that the squad isn't a happy group when you see them up against it , there doesn't seem to be the togetherness that the likes of Parky produced

 

Do you think our happy captain should take some of the responsibility for that?

 

He’s 21 and at a club that promotes youth.

He’s clearly above league 2 standards already and his next loan (if loaned) will more than likely be at a League 1 or Championship club.

Palace play with wingers and he could find himself on the bench in a couple of seasons at Palace.
