Scott Banks was certainly a loan player who gave his all in a City shirt.
A pleasure to watch and a bright future ahead that's for sure.
Not one I'll forget along with Cullen from West Ham.

A goal fit for a Cup final!

That is outrageous from the young winger!

He picks the ball up near the right corner of the box, cuts inside - and unleashes an unstoppable curling strike into the far-left corner - immaculate finish!

GET IN - and the home fans respond in loud voice!

That is exactly the reason he should have stayed on in Saturday’s game. We’d just equalised and our tails were up and I’m sure he would’ve found an extra burst of energy reserves for the last 8 minutes. Did he look tired to anyone else? He didn’t look tired when he was skinning the full back. Hughes should have gone for the jugular. Absolutely unforgivable substitution. I’ve got to say Carlisle were better than us on the balance of play over the two legs but I’m still fuming about the substitution now.

Hughes said he was already due to take him off and that the assist didn’t change his mind. Unbelievable.

Well he should have left him on. We don’t play to the clock. It’s the state of the game that dictates changes.

Very good player with a sweet left foot.

was glad to see he got an award at the end of season dinner - hopefully he looks back on his time here well.

wish him all the best for his future career.

to the Daddy Cool tune (john stones rip off of Man City song): “Scotty, Scotty banks. Scotty, scotty baaaaanks”!

If it was going to be Platt coming on that makes no sense at all, losing so you bring a central defender on, baffling.

If Banks would have started the game on the bench and. Platt started it would have been ok then but for Banks to start and then subbed after he made a goal is madness and sorry no reason for it.

It was one of the most mystifying subs I've ever seen.

He did the same sub against Gillingham and it didn't work, so have no idea why he did it again.

It was the first point in the game we had the momentum back on our side - who knows what would have happened if we carried on the way we were for a further 5/10 mins? They could have been on the ropes. We'll never know.

The right sub in that situation, if any, would have been to bring on another attacker and gone for their throats. Fans can forgive you for being positive and attacking. Inviting pressure and parking the bus was unbelievably negative and only going to result in us either conceding or taking the lottery of penalties.

A few things wrong with that substitution. He was our only threat....... He assisted a great goal. seconds before...... They were terrified of him.......when he went of it allowed the Blubrys to attack down that side.... the defender who came on was like a fart in a bottle trying to get up to speed straight away in a very fast hectic game ... no marking for their player from anyone and if you look before the goal I am sure Hughes and his sidekick had a piece of paper and he may have been discussing pen takers defensive defensive and that periods was the only time they were on the ropes......very poor all round

I think he will be back next season. I’m not sure what his contract situation but at 21 the lad has quality but not enough to ever be considered for Crystal Palace. 11 Goal contributions in 35 games is a decent return for someone so young and in a division that can be unforgiving. If we do have some cash from this record revenue people keep mentioning then id definitely be using to try and sign him permanently.

Absolutely no chance. There'll be a whole host of League One clubs who would be interested, and from a Palace perspective that will be better for his development - playing at a higher level.

You often see young players loaned out to clubs lower down the football pyramid to start with, and then gradually move up the leagues through further loans before they make the step up to the first team picture.

Harry Kane, Conor Gallagher to name a couple.

    Bizarre comment.

If Palace held this view they'd release or sell him, not play him in their u21s against PSV and keep him on their books.

Leicester and Norwich fans said the same when Harry Kane was warming the bench on loan.
2 in 16 for those clubs.
    You just never know.
