Looks like they've cottoned on to people buying in the home end now.
Although you can get past the first login page with a random address in Manchester they then cross reference that address with the payment details on your payment card.

Word of warning to anyone who has bought a ticket in the home end, i was talking to an Oldham fan yesterday and he said that a couple of their fans bought a ticket for the home end when they played them recently and had their ticket cancelled but only found out when they got to the ground when their ticket wouldn't scan. So looks like they may take advantage of their T&C's to let people buy them in the home end then cancel the ticket leaving you paying £10 for a worthless ticket.

Worth the risk for a tenner. The before and after Manchester beers would more than make up for it.

I am surprised at that. Salford City has an M (Manchester) Post code. Oldham has an OL postcode, but places like Heywood which is closer to Salford City’s ground than Oldham centre, also has an OL postcode. Lots of people move around and consequently do not have postcodes which correspond with that of the team they follow.

I had thought about the home section of the Salford ground, and noted that the T&C’s state that you can buy tickets if you are ‘neutral’.

Unless you turn up with lots of clothing/paraphernalia which identifies you as a City supporter, or are extremely vocal, then I struggle to see what the problem would be, or how Salford City would be able to identify away fans. A friend of mine who is a ST at Oldham, has a BB post code!

    Morning All,

Salford City F.C. here, in peace.

We like to keep track of visiting supporters' views and having read through this thread we'd like to make one or two assurances.

We don't cancel tickets without informing the buyer, using the same email address that the e-tickets were sent to. We actually cancel very few, and only then when it's more than a couple of tickets and the buyer's allegiance is obvious. If we do cancel, a full refund is provided.

The cross referencing of credit card postcode has being going on all season, it's not something we started just for this game.

Be wary of any fellow Bradford City supporters who claimed to have purchased home section tickets prior to Monday 24th February at 10am - that's when tickets for home areas of the ground went on sale. We didn't sell a single one before that time - we can guarantee that any such claims to the contrary will be false.

For our higher profile games, such as this one, we do refuse entry to away supporters attempting to gain entry to home areas of the ground. Any who succeed in getting inside, then make themselves known, are liable to be ejected.

We can also confirm that there will be no cash admission available on the day of the game, as all available tickets have now been sold or allocated.

On behalf of Salford City F.C., thank-you to all Bradford City supporters who have bought tickets for the game tomorrow - we hope you enjoy your first visit to The Peninsula Stadium. We were all suitably impressed by Valley Parade earlier in the season.

A quick question for you. Can you clarify what (in terms of numbers/type) are the toilet/washing facilities in the away section (and is it shared or separate facilities for seats/standing)?

We have toilet blocks for male and female supporters in the away end, shared by seated and standing supporters. Seated supporters will need to show their tickets to a steward when returning to the seated area.

Cheers. Are they 'permanent' facilities or portaloos?

    Hi Ammie,

Thanks for the post and welcome.

    Just a quick question.

Salford are an ambitious club but look like being a div 2 club like ourselves next season.

100 tickets for an away team is nowhere near enough and to be honest it's extremely embarrassing. Are they plans to increase tickets for a big away following like Bradford, Grimsby, Mansfield and Bolton next season?

Hi Ammie - as @Fordy117@Fordy117 has mentioned, the away ticket allocation is pretty pathetic. For high profile games, do you think you should request a venue change to Old Trafford or the Etihad? We are a massive club you know, and those grounds would be more suitable for our away following. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

It was portaloos when I visited last season and the food kiosk was a burger van

To answer the last few questions:
The portaloos were removed early in the season when the current blocks arrived - our supplier let us down a little bit. They're not opulent, but seem to be OK

As all seated tickets have been sold, supporters will be asked to occupy their allocated seat.

Our maximum away allocation is 1,345 - it's not brilliant, but does represent 30% of our current capacity. It's been sold out 5 times this season. There's no room for expansion, but the club is looking at options in terms of an alternative (new) venue in the future.

When we play them again they need to play their home game at Wembley as you say we're massive.

More often than not that away capacity would more than be adequate for our club, don't let the home attendances fool you, our away support numbers are usually on average below that. Just happens that you are close by and a novelty in that it will be a first visit for nearly all our fans. And don't worry about the state of your loos, being a lower league club we're accustomed to poor bogs.

It's been upgraded a bit since last season - we don't have the van any more and the toilets are more permanent. One problem we do have is space.

To be fair Ammie, the loos I have use at Valley Parade are not the best. Recently went a few years without hot water in them for washing hands. Even now they are lukewarm at best. Not ideal with whats going on in the world at the moment when we are all being urged to wash out hands frequently.
