    Morning All,

Salford City F.C. here, in peace.

We like to keep track of visiting supporters' views and having read through this thread we'd like to make one or two assurances.

We don't cancel tickets without informing the buyer, using the same email address that the e-tickets were sent to. We actually cancel very few, and only then when it's more than a couple of tickets and the buyer's allegiance is obvious. If we do cancel, a full refund is provided.

The cross referencing of credit card postcode has being going on all season, it's not something we started just for this game.

Be wary of any fellow Bradford City supporters who claimed to have purchased home section tickets prior to Monday 24th February at 10am - that's when tickets for home areas of the ground went on sale. We didn't sell a single one before that time - we can guarantee that any such claims to the contrary will be false.

For our higher profile games, such as this one, we do refuse entry to away supporters attempting to gain entry to home areas of the ground. Any who succeed in getting inside, then make themselves known, are liable to be ejected.

We can also confirm that there will be no cash admission available on the day of the game, as all available tickets have now been sold or allocated.

On behalf of Salford City F.C., thank-you to all Bradford City supporters who have bought tickets for the game tomorrow - we hope you enjoy your first visit to The Peninsula Stadium. We were all suitably impressed by Valley Parade earlier in the season.

Bowyer came in at the end of last season and he wasn’t held responsible for the abysmal set of performances under his leadership or the relegation that followed. In fact, In amidst of all the chaos his contract extension despite a poor win percentage was actually celebrated amongst our fans. The lack of accountability for Bowyer then is no different to the leeway McCall is getting now. New manager’s tend to get off lighter than their predecessor’s, probably because most recognise their limited influence in building the squad and that the mess most of them inherit isn’t their fault. It’s like that for McCall and it’s been like that for many city managers in the past.

If McCall fails miserably next season and we still get folk defending him to the hilt then I’ll agree you. Until then all you’re doing is pushing a baseless agenda.

Write this season off, the team clearly isn't good enough. I've seen way too many games like today over the past 2 seasons to know the whole culture at the club is toxic. Start at the very top, this club needs direction and ambition. Don't even bother to think about the eleven on the pitch till this sorted out.

Weird game today. It was a different level of shite compared to mansfield and oldham but shite nonetheless.

I mean where do you even start with it? I suppose it's only fair to start with that absolute embarrassment Kelvin Mellor. God he's appaling. Simple 5 yard square balls and this joker is kicking it out of play for fun. He's a walking disaster, you know everytime he touches the ball it's going to end up in possession loss one way or another. Worst thing is, take him out of the team and replace him with Henley and it doesn't improve us at all. How have we ended up with 2 horrific RBs? Cheers Gary.

Funnily enough I don't think AOC or BRE defended too badly at all. It was just everyone around them was terrible. Having said that, on the ball BRE thought he was playing rugby. Slice, hoof, volley, you name it, it went out the ground. Its actually impressive how he can't wrap his foot around the ball and knock it down the line.

Wood was wood. Saved our arse from a third with another one of his tackles.

Connolly never saw the ball and DMH looked every inch the non league player we signed. Middleton did ok when he came on though.

Reeves had a stinker, cooke a bit better. Both too slow on the ball and choosing the safe option too often. Neither of them can tackle either. That first goal was Reeves all over, ball watching and allows hunter to drift in behind then moans afterwards he didn't see him.

That second goal highlights once again why the lack of a defensive midfielder is an absolute crime. Hunter had all the time in the world to run into that space where a DM would've and should've been. Darren Gibson absolutely ran the show for Salford, nothing sexy just put his foot in and made tackle after tackle.

And don't even get me started on Novak, absolute donkey that lad. A target man who doesn't jump, can't run and can't finish. Great. Cheers Gary.

    FFS.

Its simple. Weve been mismanaged for years. McCall inherited a shit show. Hes not even had a transfer window!!!

Judge him next season. But even then, if anyone wants to deceive themselves and think this is just about who the manager is, crack on. We're fundamentally broken from the top down. With no apparent plan to sort it.

McCall is the least of our worries. Look further above for where the real problems lie.

I'm not one who has an agenda about McCall clouding my judgement. Despite him being one of the greatest players at VP, he has simply yet to convince me that he is any better than the myriad of average managers who frequent the lower leagues. That isn't an agenda against him just an opinion on his previous time at VP as a manager.

Of greater concern however is the mindset within the club which appointed him only 48 hours after the transfer window had closed. If like me you believed that our chance to be promoted automatically was a fantasy and getting into the playoffs was only a remote possibility, why was the club in such a rush to get rid of Bowyer and appoint another average manager without spending more time scouring the market? We could have taken our time and looked a little wider at the managerial talent pool. But no as I've said previously, the appointment had more to do with selling STs than it was with improving our position in the league. It was a cynical attempt to have another McCall bounce in selling STs as happened way back 2007 when JR was co-owner of the club. And that's one reason why the malaise at VP runs deeper than the current manager.

I don't for one minute believe those players go out to play as bad as they have been. They all want to win every game just like players who are in that very position. Its just as a set of individuals they are very average. If you have a small number of key individuals the average players can raise their game accordingly. Problem is we don't have one key individual player, our most prized asset is a young left back. Remember the team McCall got to Wembley? Individually it wasn't brilliant but we had certain key individuals that made the system work. Mark marshall and Josh Cullen being the most important cogs in the wheel. If we'd had Cullen or Lewis O'Brien in midfield Saturday those goals would not have been scored. In fact dissect that team, you could say most of it was average for league 1. Only Josh Cullen and Meredith have gone to better things. But vitally the pieces fit the jigsaw, a close knit bunch that punched above their weight.

That team on Saturday doesn't have one natural leader in it and it shows. They're all looking for inspiration from elsewhere on the pitch. Not one of them is captain material. They badly lack a Josh Cullen, a Gary Jones, i dare say it a Tony McMahon, someone who has their backs when it gets rough. They've no one to look for confidence and McCall knows that, heck we don't celebrate goals, its just a pat on the back on move on. Its no coincidence that a squad with many players from last season is suffering the same symptoms this season. You can't change that mid season, its a point i made regarding any manager coming in, none can change this mess over night. This where the club from the top needs leadership, i'm looking at Andy Pilley at Fleetwood as an example. Knows his plan long term for the club, brings in his own manager and league 1 quality players to carry that out. They are now an established league 1 playoff club. It doesn't need a 'big city'. It doesn't need 13,00+ crowds. It needs an owner with a vision that everyone from the top down believes in and an infrastructure to help carry out those demands. The likes of Burton, Fleetwood, Accrington and Forest Green and Salford in our division have shown, you need owners that have the vision and foresight to want to move forward.
As it stands we have no vision, no long term solution to the problem. The summer will see players move on, probably a fair few but the fundamental problems still remain. Without that will and drive from the two at the top this clubs walking in quicksand.

If you think folk are reluctant to criticise the current crop of midfielders then try reading some of the comments on Akpan, Jermaine Anderson or Taylor. If you think the criticism was harsher for Wright then it’s probably because he was just that little bit more shitè. Does it excuse today’s goals? No, but a toothless set of midfield players hardly turns Josh Wright into Pirlo.

Rhodes and Rupp knew that they were doing selling Doyle and letting Vaughan go to then replace them with Novak and Guthrie was a crime.. it was the end of our season.

McCall is having to cope with AOC who is going backwards and Everton rubbish on the ball, Mellor who is just pants. Reeves who clearly wants out. The club is a mess and it was always going to be a slow burner.

Rhodes wanted McCall back for season tickets but that's not McCall's fault.

Yes, McCall got it wrong today but we need to understand that his bosses have messed up all season.

if he’s so cheesed off like the rest of us why doesn’t he act like he’s the owner of a business and get his arse over here for a game and maybe make a statement and take some feckin responsibility

I find this amusing because im not sure what people think a priority ticket is. The clue is in the wording, it gives you priority over people without priority tickets, it doesn't guarantee you a ticket. When there are limited availability on things like seats it will always be first come first served, same with standing tickets.

Hi Ammie - as @Fordy117@Fordy117 has mentioned, the away ticket allocation is pretty pathetic. For high profile games, do you think you should request a venue change to Old Trafford or the Etihad? We are a massive club you know, and those grounds would be more suitable for our away following. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Although not his squad, not sure I have the confidence in him building a squad in the summer to be honest.

Lazy appointment by Rhodes. They should have advertised and seen who was genuinely interested.

Stuart will be seeking assurances from the board that finances will be available for him to produce a promotion winning side next season I can't see he will be given them
Any prospect of promotion was thrown out with the bath water in December it was obvious Bowyer wasn't the man to take us up yet he was given the January window to waste our chances before being given his marching orders
The McBurnie windfall should have been used by a new manager to get us over the line this season
Season ticket sales will be down cash will be even tighter and SM will rapidly realize he s on a hiding to nothing
The main problems are a lot higher than pitch level

I feel very sorry for the tremendous away supporters City have and what they have had endured today and on many other occasions, the players should beutterly ashamed of themselves but I doubt they are.
