According to the post match interview the team was woeful. They were warned about Hunter's style of play but are obviously too thick to follow the manager's instructions.

 

Just to reiterate my predictions. We won't go up this year. There'll be a complete clearout in the summer. Stuart will sign a lot of 'top of the ground' players. We'll make a great start to the season. The heavier grounds will kick in and we'll struggle. Stuart will be gone in January or February and we'll start all over again.

 

Rhodes and Rupp knew that they were doing selling Doyle and letting Vaughan go to then replace them with Novak and Guthrie was a crime.. it was the end of our season.

McCall is having to cope with AOC who is going backwards and Everton rubbish on the ball, Mellor who is just pants. Reeves who clearly wants out. The club is a mess and it was always going to be a slow burner.

Rhodes wanted McCall back for season tickets but that's not McCall's fault.

Yes, McCall got it wrong today but we need to understand that his bosses have messed up all season.

 

The difference is we have and seen it all before with Mccall he always gets the benefit of the doubt

 

Stuart will be seeking assurances from the board that finances will be available for him to produce a promotion winning side next season I can't see he will be given them
Any prospect of promotion was thrown out with the bath water in December it was obvious Bowyer wasn't the man to take us up yet he was given the January window to waste our chances before being given his marching orders
The McBurnie windfall should have been used by a new manager to get us over the line this season
Season ticket sales will be down cash will be even tighter and SM will rapidly realize he s on a hiding to nothing
The main problems are a lot higher than pitch level

This is the big issue. Has been since Rhodes and Lawn sold up and the final nail in the coffin when Stuart was fired. We’re a pretty straight forward, middle to lower division club and we’re about community and association of supporters to the owners, management and players. That has to be the DNA throughout and I’m quite fine with people coming into the club from many different backgrounds - they just have to understand what we are all about. For too long, we haven’t had that.

Parky got it - and he surrounding himself with other who did, that’s why his success was achieved relatively quickly. We now have a manager who again, 3rd time lucky, gets it. I slated his subs today but I know the current issue isn’t down to McCall. It’s much more deep rooted than that but the right changes in the player personnel quickly impacts this. Fail on that, and as you say @Spenny , more and more of us will lose interest. Nowadays there are so many social options available. If time and money on a Saturday leaves people simply deject, it takes a hell of a lot to stop that person not switching off altogether.

When Parky took over he wanted a number of leaders in the squad and Rhodes had a plan which was cheap season tickets and Cup runs. Parky's football wasn't the best.

However, times have changed in football, things club down from the top. Money has come down into lower leagues, football is now mainly about attacking style of play, cheap season tickets are not a highlight and Cup runs are not important (you see the changes lower league teams make in cups now)

We're out dated as a club and big decisions are needed in the summer because we can't carry on like this our we will find ourselves struggling to stay in the league.

I get your sentiments completely however Jurgen Klopp couldn't get a tune out of this lot.

It's abundently clear that Bowyers recruiting ability is as bad as his tactical ability.

Everyone hoped that SM would turn things around but in the cold light of day this squad has to be as bad as any I have witnessed since 1979.

That's why I can't judge SM until I see what players he can bring in.
