While I don't think they will just up and leave totally dismissing the possibility is troublesome. Their investment like most of the business ventures of the UAE royal families is very much tied into political motives rather than business motives which is highlighted by how much money Etihad Airlines has lost over the years. What happens if the rivalry with some of the countries in the region (such as Qatar) thaws or what happens if something happens with the leadership situation in the country as their riches are all linked to being in that position
There is also the knock-on effect they have when living beyond their means. It does push others to do the same, many of whom don't have the safety net.
It's why it's important for football to try and ensure all clubs are legitimately living within their means and not being propped up by their owners as you never know what will happen with the owners and you don't want other owners to take the risk of going all in

Park has backed our garbage players all season and then decides he's not so bothered that a regular championship player has gone to one of our rivals!
Richie Towell is light years ahead of anything we have, or are likely to have in central midfield and whilst your opinion is not surprising to any regular member it's still another one to add to the growing list of ridiculous posts. -

It's a belter, but League Two is certainly going to provide it's own tests that the Championship won't... -

The top teams are in a different league to us and can spend that much money as they are raking in almost 500 million a season in sponsorship, tv money etc.
And PSG are backed with tonnes of money. Doesn’t matter to them. They can afford it -
Not had much impact. A lot won’t go because it’s a crap league -

Sheffield untied paid 2 million for a defender in this league in 2014.
Peterborough paid more for Assombolonga a few years ago.
Wigan spent 1.3 on grigg and 1.2 for Reece James for when they were in this league.
Most sides get promoted if they spend big but it’s not a guarantee. Wigan continue to yo-yo. Peterborough still in league one.
Peterborough spend it knowing they can sell them for more if they do well. It works for them.
If other clubs try and copy more fool them. That’s poor ownership. No one else to blame
