Salford City (Away) Tickets

A little OTT with that comment, but when the weather is good nothing like a couple of hours in the sun getting a little fresh air.

 

Not retired yet and when I do I plan to do long walks with beer at the end. That's why the DIY needs doing now.

The fans crying about missing out are the worst, it’s an away day with absolutely nothing going for it other than it’s close by. Give me Orient any day of the week. I have a priority pass and had no desire to get Salford tickets I’ll be there tomorrow though. Football is about more than a quick route home and 90 minutes on the pitch.

Why isn't the game and pre match beers at Salford less inviting that the Orient game, I'd expect that sort of comment to come from Loyal, you'd not real fans because you only do short trips, sorry @WilsdenBantam that's tosh IMO.

 

Have you ever been? There’s nothing near by and it’s not in Salford. Don’t compare me to Loyal as we’re making totally different points.

 

Yes I've been to Salford fortunately my experience was with the Corn Dolly so all pre-match City talk, food, and drink was exceptional, even Stephan Darby making a pre game appearance.
That was not the point I was challenging you on but your "Football is about more than a quick route home and 90 minutes on the pitch".
On the contrary I was saying I would expect that sort of comment coming from Loyal, which suggests I believe you are a more open mind than to categorise fans that are not traveling to Orient but will travel to Salford because its a quick route home..

Salford is not in Salford, nor is Grimsby Town is not in Grimsby.

 

So if Salford was 200 miles away we’d have people moaning at not getting a ticket on social media would we? I doubt anyone would deny we sold out due to the games location not due to it being an attractive fixture, it’s really not. I don’t go to anywhere near every away game but I don’t whinge about missing out on Salford tickets either especially when they’re only likely to be wanting to go due to location. They should have just got a priority card then no chance of them missing out…

 

We sold out because Salford can only accommodate just over 1,000, nothing to do with it's location only being a 40 mile journey as you are implying "Football is about more than a quick route home and 90 minutes on the pitch", the match day experience is also important without doubt, but for me the 90+ minutes on the pitch is really the most important thing and why I'm attending an away game.
I totally agree with your whinging comment, we only seem to have the one fan who has that opinion, and I have posted on many occasions that fans had plenty of opportunity to purchase a priority ticket if the felt so strongly about missing out.

 

Must admit I wasn't impressed when I went, the whole feel of the place. Like you said it's feels like the middle nowhere and was as flat as a fart. A game I'm not bothered in the slightest about missing.

 

Agreed and that was the point I was making, I don’t know why people are whinging about missing out when they’ll be plenty of similar and better away days to come. They’ve missed out on Salford not the champions league final ffs, there’s plenty better games to look forward to hopefully.
Anyway regarding the game hopefully we finally take our first point from the place, 3 to be exact.

 

If its anything like Mansfield it'll be a cracking day out regardless who the opposition is .
