Bronco is spot on. The option for Away Priority was open to everyone, I fell having a one off scramble for these was far better than having a weekly scramble down the line.

Having been screwed over for Chelsea tickets because the club allocated the sale of 4 tickets bought from the ticket office for Millwall to one account which basically excluded me from online sales I've got a priority ticket to avoid the hassle of the clusterfuck we saw this morning.

I did manage to get tickets for Chelsea but had to jump through various hoops to do so.

So knowing previous problems with the sale of tickets, it seemed sensible to remove myself from that lottery.

It was, but if there was a way to avoid jumping through hoops because of a ticket office feck up then it's worth taking.

I'm sure it was worth it ;).

I can't see why it causes such an issue, the club have obviously taken into account that there could be 3 occasions were our allocation would be around 1000 so it would have been wrong to have allowed the sale of more just to make the club extra income.
Imagine the club sold 2,000 and the likes of Harrogate said 1,000 max and it was a lottery who got tickets out of the 2,000 members.

I guess the problem occurs when too many people have the same idea. Do you then have a priority period of who can buy a priority pass? This season it was a free for all. None of this will matter next season. The only sure fire way of getting a ticket if you don’t have enough points will be to be first in the physical queue at the ticket office even if that means camping out like many hundreds did for Burton and Fleetwood

Priority tickets have always been a free for all.
Thank goodness it will be diffrent next season and based on an accumulated points system it may stop you bellyaching, you have a priority ticket this season and you'll be able to attend every away game.

How was it open for everyone when they sold out.
A bit like saying tickets this morning were available to everyone.
They weren't hence loads missed out.

    Exactly.
Loads who only travel under 100 miles have priority cards.
The rest of us who go on 8 hour round trips all season will be rewarded next season.
See you all at Orient and Crawley.
P.S don't know how but I got 2 Salford tickets in the luckiest of ways.

They were on sale for several days to anyone who wanted them, yes they were capped but there were several days opportunity to buy one. Compared to today where it was a complete lottery. When something is available for a reasonable period of time then I think it can be called as being open to everyone. This morning when you log on and you have no opportunity to buy them then you can say it wasn't open for everyone.

I guess any Season Ticket holder was eligible to apply for a Priority Away Ticket. So it was ‘open’ until they sold out. However I don’t think they were sold in an incredibly short period of time, rather a few days.

I know this my sound conceited but I've done all that years ago and as I've posted I have nothing but admiration for the likes of CibaSteve etc who still do the long away days.

Me too, and now I only do one or two a year, always a new ground. There comes a point where other things have to be done on a saturday, like DIY

I know, it's each to their own, I'm only putting myself through these long drives cos I've got a 9 year old who seriously believes we are going up as champions this season.
How many times can we say we've seen our club do that??
I believe it too so gonna try get to as many games as possible.

Sacrificing football to frequent DIY shops is a sure indication that you are on a slippery slope to death. Similar to retiring from work just to mow the lawn 3 times a day. There’s 6 other days in a week and 12 weeks in the summer with no football. That’s the time to do DIY and gardening

So you do have a sense of humour, I love retirement if only to be first in the queue to beat you to a priority ticket :innocent:.

Anyone that drags themselves to Rawdon Meadows every morning deserves priority.
