Use the money from the above, if you can sell any for player funds but make it clear that from now until May this is the squad to work with, if you can crack on if not then this isn't a job for you. Reevaluate in the summer.

Rather than keep Bowyer and see how it pans out, you'd prefer to sack him, sack a few players (assuming the aren't sold), send a couple of loanees back, hire a new manager, bring some players in to replace those you've sacked...all within the next 11 days, during which time we'll play a further 3 matches?

You would have hoped that a plan would be in place should it get to a point, possibly this point, to terminate his contract and have a list of potential candidates ready to contact. Clubs now a days replace managers within 24/48 hours.

Seems a better idea than Bowyer spunking away our promotion prospects week after week. Any other manager would have this side sat in the top 3 with his eyes closed. Seems Rhodes has exceeded himself once again on the employment front. He's got over 30 goals in the front 2 and can't manage to get any service to them. Other managers would kill for our front 2 but Bowyer just shrugs his shoulders and hoofs the ball aimlessly at them week in week out. 5 at the back with 3 centre midfielders who don't break the lines aren't the way to promotion. You don't even need to be professional to see this. The possession stats from the weekend were a disgrace. We have been found out and will be in free fall by the end of the month.

 

What's the point though if we already know he isn't the man for the club and we won't go up under him?

Rhodes would be an utter fool to keep Bowyer and lose season ticket sales. We will get nowhere near 20k season ticket sales keeping Bowyer until the end of the season.

Rhodes sticks with him then pressure will grow for him to leave also.

I get that Dave. It pains me to say it and I hate being negative but I'm struggling to see GB change his style and a positive outcome now after recent poor performances, selections and tactics.

 

Look at all the W's around us. Can't see where our next win is coming from. We've been so lucky this season they always say it evens itself out over the 46 games and it looks like we've been found out. Can't see nothing but dropping down the league under GB with his tactics. Goals win games and we don't score any.

 

Wasn't that the whole debate about bringing Doyle back, most said he would not continue scoring in anywhere near the same ratio he did at Swindon, having said that (and this is not a criticism but an observation) Doyle should have scored at Crawley and possibly don't better with that late chance against Scunthorpe.
