When players tend to pull out of 50/50 and lack press you have to ask has Bowyer lost the dress room. Like @Onside@Onside says something isn't right if players are not putting in the application that a manager wants.

It was an even and entertaining first half, by the end we'd been found out and given a football lesson. thats two weeks on the trot now where we've looked distinctly second best which is worrying because most of the games this season we've not looked worse or better but at least competed. And the last two weeks were against opposition bang out of form. I'm not sure Bowyer can change these problems this season, theres too many faults to change in one go. That second half yesterday should be a real cause for concern going forward.

I'm pinning my hope on characters like Donaldson, Prichard and Devitt - give us that lift

I think the players are a bit inhibited, scared even - that's why going 3-0 yesterday could have made all the difference. It would have been flattering, but often that's what gets a team rebooted

I'm reserving judgment until after the Cheltenham match. If we lose all three, playing like we did in yesterday's second half, I will be thinking just like I did two years ago, it might be time for a change

When you add up how many have voted it's not even 2% of our home crowd

    We've two away matches.

By the time Cheltenham comes around we could be well outside the play off places.

Why isn't you mindset on winning all 3? Then if not time for a change?

I'm not disagreeing with you but this is truly baffling. We are 2 points off the auto places, not languishing at the bottom of the table at risk of relegation. What on earth are they scared of?

Really not sure who is available, you can’t overlook people with an long standing affinity to the club they manage, for example Wilder at Sheffield United, Jewell when he was here, McCall although perhaps that ship has sailed now. Who would fit into that category though, Gary Jones might be a good radio pundit but has no experience even if he was interested.

The guy Jones did great things at Luton so should be very high on the list, he had a win ratio over 50 percent, Stoke was a basket case.

AOC blameless? He backed off and backed off and backed off to let their player score the second. No attempt to engage the player and *ahem* defend.

Did you actually mean 3 mins for Palmer giving his "best"? Palmer was a disgrace to the shirt yesterday as was Mellor.

Devitt i can't quote on as i haven't seen enough of him but the other two should make a difference. IF they are played properly in a set up that gets the best out of them. Its clear we can only play one of Reeves, Cooke and Palmer, Cooke looks the better of them at this moment. Akpan showed what a player can do when played to his favoured position yesterday albeit he was starved of the ball and disappeared. At the moment the balance is wrong, we urgently need a Cullen, Jones, O'Brien type player to be the midfield pivot. With Reeves back i'd send Palmer back, also one or two others to get the balance right. Bowyer can still save this season, but needs to act quickly as the players body language looks of a team whose confidence is shot.

Honestly mate it's like people go to the game and don't watch the match. The sponsors giving the MOTM award to AOC are an embarrassment.

For what seem 20 mins from the start of second half we were too deep. AOC and POC running backwards making us deeper.

    Palmer was a utter disgrace.

I don't want to see Mellor wear the shirt again and if Bowyer wants to keep his job then he needs to go and get a RB urgently this week.

We made Scunny look like Barca in that second half.

The keeper, even Akpan should of been MOTM.

I was saying the same yesterday at the match. You would think they would be oozing confidence given the position we have been in all season. Yesterday, most of them looked like nervous wrecks, truly baffling

Not that I think Bowyer will be leaving anytime soon, but if we were looking for a new manager, Nathan Jones would be my choice, whether he would be interested is another matter of course

I don't think the players are scared but confused. There were times yesterday when we had a throw in that no one moved into space. To me that's either down right laziness or them waiting for someone else to take control of the situation.

I'm not convinced at 3 nil, we'd have seen the match out. Guesswork on my behalf, mind.

Most did put effort in though and looked like they were fighting, especially the front 2. But the midfield is weak and pathetic imo. It needs a McCall, Jones or even a Jay Spearing to get the game by the scruff of the neck. All the defence looked like they gave it their all as well, except Mellor who was absolutely appalling again.

We have far bigger worries than Bowyer imo, sacking him won’t change anything, certainly not long term anyway at best a couple of improved performances.

It’s telling that we haven’t been able to sack Drury and cut costs on pitch maintenance pre season too try get a bit more player budget. We’re under coached and underfunded in key places off the field, can we really say things have improved much since Rahic left? Maybe results wise in a lower league but we still look poor and the pitch looks worse. We need a long term vision, something we’ve not had since Richmond and that isn’t Bowyers fault.

Pitch maintenance? Reminds me of when the US sprayed the jungles in Vietnam with agent orange to kill off the vegetation. By the rate the grass is dying we'll be playing beach football by April.
