    bowyers win percent is 29.8%

Why not bring back Michael Collins who has a 28.6% win percent

But leave it till next week when Collins will be Higher than Bowyers if we fail to beat Oldham

You were a collins fan, like me were you not? ;-)

What has that got anything to do with fans wanting to bring back McCall?

A big fan? Must have missed that stage.

So our only options are an ex player in McCall or a Collins or drury type option? Go to bed mate

Big week this, what remains of it. Whichever way you look at it’s chaos at VP. There can be nothing planned about letting your two most prolific scorers go and trying to bring new players in on eve of transfer deadline. It’s a massive gamble. New players take time to settle in, especially goal scorers. Only last week all the signs were we weren’t making signings. Now we’re suddenly mega active in the market at a time when players and clubs can hold us to ransom. The player we really need is a CDM but Bowyer can hardly ask for one, can he, because his got enough midfielders to fill three teams. So it must be the strikers’ fault. He got lucky last night if the truth is known. Losing a man got him the sympathy vote. Eleven v eleven and we might well have lost and that would have been it. I reckon he’ll be here to the end of the season now especially if he brings in a couple of new faces and raises hopes again.

This is rumour so not direct quotes. We had a disgruntled dressing room. Bowyer asked for players to speak up. Doyle never wanted to come back due to the way Bowyer sets up and beliefs its damaging his CV. Vaughan also spoke out against the tactics and formations. Both told they can go as it was not up for debate. Yet why ask for input?

Whoever has done it has manipulated the time sample to only include the last four games. I never see form for the last four games normally. You get six, if not eight results on the BBC and bookies pages. If you include the last six gameweeks then it isn't relegation form we are showing. Granted, it is still poor form and nowhere near acceptable.

as the old cliche goes, though, you are only as good as your last game. We showed some fight and character last night with Doyle and Vaughan out of the building and we must take that into what is a winnable away day at Oldham now. If we lose then all the battling last night counts for nothing and Bowyer will be anxious again.

I've just been playing around with it and plugged in matchday 20 -present and I was surprised that we have only actually lost two of our last 11 games. Among all of the doom and gloom I thought it would be more than that. won 3, drawn 6 and lost 2. Scored 10 and conceded 10.

It sums up the bland approach we've taken to matches recently. Would Bowyer, if he had the time again, wish he'd gone for it a bit more rather than registering so many draws?

In the same period of time Plymouth, who are top of that form table, have also lost two games (they've played 10, not 11) but the key thing is that under Ryan Lowe they attack and have won seven and drawn only once. They conceded nine but have scored 20.

Not knocking him last night as circumstances meant it was an acceptable point with 10 men, but it does make you think 'what if' we'd been a bit more adventurous and gone gung ho instead of playing the safety first bore stuff - even factoring in injuries and the virus we had in the squad around Xmas.

I think that is a pretty fair post and is probably the most accurate reflection of where we are at currently.

Looking back to the season when we missed out under McCall, we also had a large amount of draws but the fundamental difference was that in that period we did go for it and just needed that killer instinct in front of goal. If comparing the two managers, I do not think either would have changed their approach if they had it again and this is where my concerns for our future under Bowyer stem.

    Dear Gary

What the blazes were you thinking last night !? In all my 40+ years of endurement at Valley Parade that has to be the lowest ebb for me ?

So its come to this. We have one footballer on the pitch - Devitt ! He gets red carded and this reduces us to playing junior football. ?

We go in lucky to be 1-0 up and your idea is to send out this sackless set to stand 5 at the back and 4 in front of them no further forward than the 18 yard box ! And proceed to hoof the ball away and throw themselves around. You call it pride in the shirt ? It shows how much the lads care ? we"re all in it together and the fans ?.

Well let me tell you this ! It was none of that it was abject bloody surrender ! and the worst effort in a Home game I have witnessed EVER. Lets be frank Cheltenham are crap apart from their number 29. We not playing Chelsea ? or Swansea in a League Cup Final. This is Cheltenham and we are set up to try and stalemate the game out for a 1-0 ? While I think on the might have been some credability lining up with everyone on the 18 yard line in the 2013 League Cup Final ? But bloody Cheltenham at home for Christs sake ?

We camp on our 18 yard box conceeding possession to the extent that the stats are 25-75 % to the opposition and do nothing to effect the game ?. It was the worst example of playing with 10 men ever and you cost us ! We could have won the game with the slightest idea how to play football ? You dont conceed possession to such an extent that at every turn the opposition have the ball and its constantly coming back at you.

Oh no ? You get the ball and pass it ! Pass it in triangles up the pitch; try move the ball around. But you dont hoof it to your opponents. Its basic stuff surely and by doing that you make it harder for the opposition. Yiu can play football with 10 men and this has been proved time and time again. But you have to understand how to do it ? granted the 10 lumps a wood left might struggle and in this case clearly did ! But you send them out with a plan and there was none of that last night.

I am not buying all this bluster over digging in and playing for the shirt. That was rank surrender last night the worst I have ever seen at Valley Paeade by a City team. Unforgiveable from the Home team and its like this time and time again !. But that hit an all time low for me.

I have said your a decent man on that I do not waver. But after last nights latest worst example of your inability to deploy the players in a pattern that resembles a footballing idea ? I am left only to say "do the decent thing and clear your desk" For all of our sakes.

but thats the form table which is entirely based on results

what about 3 wins in 17, or 3 games resulting in a win for us out of 17

Wow worst you've seen during your time watching Bradford City, we got a well earned point, would you have preferred to have done as you suggest and get nothing out of the game, because that's what we would have got from the game with your fantasy football, every manager would have done exactly the same to make it difficult for the opposition not try and match them with 10 men.

Here's a good idea once we went down to 10 men keep the same formation and throw the kitchen sink at them hoping we get lucky. and if we get beat the fans will understand because we went for it .

No it's not it's a snippet of part of this season that you use to try and prove a point, lets look at the only stat that counts 7th in the league which is a much more reliable stat as it's taken over the 30 games we've played this season.....don't you agree, or do we only use what stats we want to make a point ?.
