What I don't understand is why the coaching staff didn't get bolstered?

Even now, it would appease some of the ill sentiment for him to actively look to improve things off the pitch.

Managers are always asking boards to back them with signings, let alone a coach.

How’s this for a controversial comment. But for the sending off we might actually have lost tonight. We’d have had to come out and open ourselves up. They created two clear cut chances even when we had eleven men,. But a very hard earned and well deserved point. Funny game is football.

 

I accept it wasn’t the best but in comparison to what we have been playing it was better. Plus we were playing with 10 men for half the game. It has to be maintained though.

Double substitutions are usually made when you’re chasing the game not trying to slow it down. It would have been better IMO to put on number three a few minutes after number two to waste time. Putting them on together in the circumstances seemed to be a naive lack of game management. A small thing but significant.
