I'm also not one for knee jerk reactions but whatever I watched today wasn't a performance and I am not going to try to defend the indefensible. Shocking from start to finish, the only ones that come out with any dignity are the 3 young lads that came on in the second half because at least they had a go.

 

Some lambasted Stuart for saying he was out of ideas and it was a reason he got the hook.

Collins has just said the same 6 games into the season. He's utterly clueless. Has to go

 

Is it not Collins who's picking the team/formation? I know Edin is heavily involved but not even he would go that far, surely?

 

Sacking Collins will be admitting he got it wrong. It won’t happen.

 

As much as we all want a capable manager nothing has changed since a few weeks back when no one with half a brain wanted to come near us.

 

There's only one person needs relieving of his duties. I just hope the majority shareholder realises this.

 

It’s a troubling image though. The natural order of things would be for a chairman to meet his manager privately before a game to wish him and the team well.

However it’s dressed up, having your chairman sat several feet behind the dugout and conversing like that, is worrying. It’s further fuel to the fire which suggests Collins in simply a puppet for Rahic to manage the team.

 

Bang on. He doesn't know whats wrong, he's already shown that. He doesn't know what he's doing, god knows how the players are supposed to know. I feel sorry for him in a way, he might make a good coach some where down the line but at the moment he's like a fish out of water.

 

Observe for how long? At what point would you be concerned about our approach and the way the club is being managed?

 

Don't kid yourself, we weren't that good at Shrewsbury, a draw would have been a fair result against a team struggling like ourselves. Outplayed by Barnsley but in truth we as much our own enemy in that defeat with the nonsensical way we set up, no one knew what the hell they were doing. i actually agree about the ten games but he has to realise sooner rather than later that certain players just ain't working and that you can't keep swapping and changing formation every half an hour. It makes your players look worse than what they actually are.

It's division three, lowly stuff, nothing much changes....................I had an ace day out in York today, 2 new grounds so far for me this season. I didn't renew my ST for a few reasons but I suppose the major one was that I didn't want to see what I thought I would see. I'd pay top dollar right now for an ST to a Jamie Lawrence led City.

Here's my take, FWIW ..........

I think Collins is a knowledgeable and cultured coach - no - really.
However, An educated person doth not a good teacher make.
Think about that, a while.

Collins is not the kind of person to welcome scrutiny - which may suggest his anonymity during game time. Which in my book is a big fail from the word go. Leadership starts from the top, in this case the Head Coach. If Collins is afraid to bark orders from the dug out - Then how the Hell will any pattern of play change ?

I have instructed at various levels, in Engineering. The first priority is to make sure I'm understood. If I'm misunderstood, then how can I instruct further and expect success ? That goes for any industry, including Football.
Build from your weakest link, and ensure you are understood Mr Collins.
At the moment, YOU are the weakest link, Michael - and if things don't change - YOU will be out.
