    Good.

Whatever Hughes says we need, we need.

And watch it be along the same lines as people on here have been asking for for a couple of seasons, while the club has pretended that no, we don't need those changes

Yes, I did mate. That was extremely good of him.

Told you when the club deserves praise then I will gladly give them or a individual some.

Enjoy your brandy. Hope its not the cheap stuff.

Must admit when you look at the games in the premiership or championship it's hard not to cast an envious eye at what the two other west Yorkshire clubs fans will be getting next season. I get that we support our team whatever the weather argument. But jeez, I can even go back to the games in league one against Bolton and The Blades and remember looking forward all week to a right humdinger. And really, what game is there to look forward to in league 2? Stockport? Harrogate lol? Doesn't matter what bollocks our media department put out, garbage like own the moment etc. It's still league 2 no matter how you spin it, a trip to Solihull moors don't have the same appeal as a trip to pride park or Hillsborough.

League 2 definitely is dog dirt. I didn’t rate any of the teams in the league last season. I was another full of optimism in August but once it became obvious Adams wasn’t the man I did what you guys have mentioned - watched Prem and European footy and even took in three Man City games which was an altogether different experience!

Chomping at the bit to get back to VP next season though. After a summer away, even after a bad season, the slate is wiped clean.

it’s gonna be a long summer with no World Cup :-(

A reported fee of £250k for a lad who has just turned 16 and would be nowhere near our first team for a couple of years at least, is cracking business for us. Stop your constant negativity Fordy

Would he be receiving this praise had we been sat in the bottom half or does his perceived success rely solely on the team doing well? After all, it's not really something he can directly control.

For the record, I also feel like there is an upward trend around feelings about off field events which will be attributed to Sparks but I wonder how much of that perception is linked to the feel good factor over our league position.

No but he has given him the budget good enough to achieve at least the play offs. Sparks has done a great job recruiting the right people in the background to push the club forward

For me I just don't think the club knows what it wants or needs at the moment. There's a desperate need to get back into league 1, but there's also a feeling that we need to build infrastructure behind the scenes. I think to have both is a bit like having your cake and eating it though, unless you get lucky.

When Sparks took over i don't think he had a particular roadmap out of league two in mind, but there were two things he seemed to want to avoid: (1) The Parky situation, where he built his own thing and when he left he took everything with him.(2) The Rahic situation, a CEO who took too much control and didn't give the manager enough freedom to do things his way.

To implement a recruitment or fitness model etc you probably have to own the fact that you're restricting the manager's control on the bigger footballing picture, and have to employ a manager who's happy to fit into the pre- existing model. Rahic wanted to do it and got in Collins as coach, but executed it all catastrophically. Look at Bolton last year, tried to have a 'moneyball' thing going on and thought Evatt would do what he did at Barrow, but it didn't work. By January they just said 'sod it' and let him do what he wants, luckily he was good enough of a manager to get them up.

Sparks wanted to have a system/ culture for a manager to fit seamlessly into, but then employed Adams for instant promotion success. For me the two didn't work as Adams is far too particular.

We're at a desperate point at the moment, but we need to decide what we want and own it. If we expect instant promotion from league two we need (unfortunately) an Evans or a Warnock and to let them do things their way. If we want to build something for the future it needs to be done properly, Sparks needs help with it and it's probably going to take time.

Agents etc contacting Sparks shouldn't be an issue at all really Storck.
The club have other contact numbers, that's just an excuse for me.

It's totally unacceptable, at my last company they provided me with a company mobile, I never had company business discussed on my own mobile.

    No, I ignore him. Soundbites.

"I know what went went wrong but will keep it in my brain" - Yes, I do also. You were shite and made shite decisions that cost the club this season. Let Adams get you to change your mind on things and lost total control of what a CEO is meant to be doing to help generate results and improve the club on the pitch.

    Let's hope he has learnt.
