But isn't it, shouldn't it, be much more nuanced? You have a manager/managers who look to play certain systems that they feel can work. But when you sign players with greater potential beyond that, who can give them more and different, so they should become smart enough to change and tweak accordingly?

But who are the players so far beyond what the managers wanted to achieve?

 

Can't agree we have a recruitment guy now who is employed to help T&S get the players into the club that are going to enhance the squad and be capable of improving the starting 11, they knew what Rowe brought to the club and it looks like they got it wrong IMO we were taking a player who has played most his career in non-league football why would we expect him to change and tweak accordingly ?.

 

Leeds have relationships with lots of clubs, look at McAlmont at Oldham.

 

Well we've had two duff signings in a row.

The winger and the right back have been a waste of time, but Paudie turned out good before that.

 

I love it, but it does require the right players, the right coaching and right tempo. None of which are regularly found in L2

 

Personally I'd be surprised if they trusted us with their better youngsters. We rushed Hosannah back from his first injury which meant he has needed surgery and Stevens has only made one start since he got here. I know its only two players but it hardly paints us as the go to loan club for their most promising academy products.

4-2-3-1 is very much suited to today's game where teams can play throughout the team. We don't have that luxury in league 2, takes all the time for the players just to try and get the basics right, never mind playing expansive football.

 

Having players that can trap and control the ball first time helps, Ours are lucky if they can trap a bag of cement in one go
