Nope. I've clearly lived under a stone. Just listened a wee bit on YT, nah... Still non the wiser.

    I'll go find my stone.

Listen, we can ask everyone at the club to walk, but at this point in time it's looking much more likely that in 25+ years supporting this club through thick and thin, I'll be the one walking away.

Ryan Sparks is Ryan Sparks is Ryan Sparks.

He has a background in PR and journalism. He has little if any experience in running a business or as a chief executive officer in the sporting sector. He does a mean hashtag and seems to be full of enthusiam and personal ambition. He has learned the ropes sitting at the feet of JR for a couple of months but other than being inculcated in JR's methods, he has limited experience. In my view, he has little at this stage to warrant his position of CEO at City.

Ryan is who he is and is simply unsuited to the role in this most difficult of times. But that's not Ryan's fault. The fingers should be pointed at Rupp who ultimately bears the responsibility for Ryan's appointment and at Rhodes who mentored him, trained him and I suspect recommended to Rupp that Ryan should replace him. Together with extending the contract of SMc having brought little to the club since he returned, it's Rupp and Rhodes who have put this mess together and it's about time the owner acknowledged that.

What was it he did there? Run the Twitter account? It wasn’t a CEO level role

They were going for a long, long time before those two bands were even formed. Ron Mael did used to creep me out on Top of the Pops though.

Absolutely. It's the blind leading the blind. On, and off the field. It's Fred Karno's circus and, as things stand, it's only going to end one way.

It's the loss of hope that does it for me. We can all see what needs to change in the club and on the pitch but there seems to be no chance of anything happening. Stuart will soldier on, Rupp will do nothing, Sparks will spout platitudes. And if by some miracle we survive this season it will all carry on next year. All leading nowhere. No hope for anything better than abject mediocrity. It's soul destroying and ultimately people, however long they have supported the club, will just give up.

But is Rhodes benefitting from a consultancy fee?

It all just smell that McCall gets a new contact, Sparks gets a job he shouldn't and Rhodes walks away into the sunset but knowing Sparks will be calling.

Rupp is a disaster for this football club. He really is!

    Posted the same earlier.

Sparks won't walk - just been given the job, why would he?
McCall won't walk - just been given a contract extension, why would he?
Rupp won't walk - who knows???!!

To your point - the decision making in this club is nothing short of ludicrous. What self respecting business in the world rewards a failing manager with a contract extension at the decision of a CEO with very little experience. It almost feels like we are a vanity project of an owner who doesn’t really need to care about his investment so doesn’t care on the happenings. However we are not that, and actually just a rotten mess to the core.

The Jan transfer window will at best scrape us survival in league two IMO. @Fordy117@Fordy117 and others have been writing the warnings for some time and I amongst others have probably looked on dismissing their rants as over reactive. Happy to accept I think I was wrong - there’s so much wrong with this club I’m genuinely worried what future lies for it.

Having your CV marked with being the first to take a former premier league club in to the conference would be motivation to either do a good job or bail out. Stuart’s management career is over after he leaves City, unless a miracle happens and we go on a run to promotion. Sparks though, the next two months could be shit or bust for Sparks’ career. Take City out of the league and there’s not much chance of another chairman taking a punt on him in the near future, rebuild the club and he’s on a path to success. High stakes for someone so young and inexperienced.

I'd sooner sleep through these hopeless years than get cross about it. Rather watch a local non league side than watch City flail about in the National League.

Joke of an appointment. Keeping McCall was his first fatal error, giving him an extension was his second, now employing someone to help McCall with recruitment is his third. Theme is his blind faith in McCall, every man and his dog knows he’s lost the plot and we’ll go down with him at the helm. Also an extremely ignorant bloke since he got this job, big time w4nker

Ryan has been very open with me in my comms with him this week. Certainly not ignorant as you allude to. Care to tell, us why you think he is ignorant?
