Matty Platt has played 88 games for Barrow - some in League Two - so not worried about his level of experience.

Jake Young made 29 appearances for a title chasing side last season (most as sub).

Walker has tonnes of experience.

East and Lewis haven’t had much experience, granted, but it’s not like these lads we’ve brought in are Austin Samuels types.

 

How many of the teams promoted or in the play offs had the older more experienced players pulling strings? Not that many by my recollection. We need a football style, energy, pace in the team and a quality striker. In Hughes I trust (more than the usual suspects on here!).

 

Walker aside I don't think any of the signings have been made with the idea of them being instant 1st teamers, they are all relatively young with a bit of experience and potential, so affordable gambles to bulk out the squad and in the hope to give the club some actual assets for once. I don't have a problem with this approach providing our scouting team have put the work in to target these, I've no doubt MH is far from finished with signing his main players.
