But moving forward...who IS going to buy him out? Have you any thoughts or hopes? Or dreams!

Hey up Fordy. What do you think would be a sensible asking price? And how much over and above that amount do you think the new owners would need to inject to take us forwards? The reason I ask is because at this moment I don't think there is anyone willing to make that level of investment

To be fair to Rupp, he brought Rhodes in, a supposedly trusted name, who brought in Bowyer, a guy who had got Blackpool out of L2, and the manager got well backed with Rupps money.

it was a failed attempt to go straight back up.

Rupp has put decent money in but can you really blame him for thinking enough is enough and not throwing good money after bad. Particularly if he wants out now.

He is entitled to ask what he wants for the club, just like Rhodes and Lawn did, I guess they both did alright out of it?

Unfortunately I don’t see a knight in shining armour coming in for the club in the current climate, we are a huge challenge and the sleeping giant tag is ebbing away.

First of all people will always buy someone. During Covid deals have gone through to takeover football clubs and more will be sold over the coming months. So lets put that to bed.

Honestly, I don't know how much Rupp would want. Heard he wanted 10m but issue we have is he is loaning the club money and might want the debt back on top of his value. I feel he would be looking for about 5m or 6m really. Should be happy though to take 2-3m in my head and get out.

To inject us forward we need to get rid of McCall. Get a decent manager in, decent back room staff , decent recruitment staff and maybe a football director- All this won't cost too much.

Off the pitch its an owner or owners that are serious about development and kicking the club on wanting better for Bradford City.

Other than the £10m I actually can't disagree with much of that. The 10m is a figure @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler mentioned as the amount that would be required, in his opinion, to buy the club and seriously take it forward. It somehow seems to have become gospel as Rupps asking price. Like yourself I would like to think Rupp would cut his losses and take £2-3m, but I still don't see anyone prepared to pay that and also fund the progress we all want

It would depend on how the deal was structured, he might take an initial sum and immediate repayment of loans, and then the balance spread over a fixed term.

I hear what you are saying, but I still don't think there is anyone out there with enough money and passion for Bradford to take it on. I would love to be proved wrong

Don't have to have a passion for Bradford.

Who got us into this position by letting Rahic have the freedom to cause the damage he did to the club. As you say Mr Rupp can do what he wants as the owner and his money - but the club is is a downward spiral and if he is not intetested and does not want to pour any of his money into City - then he should do the honourable thing and cut his losses.

Of course..We don't own a training ground or a stadium. Chance for someone to build a real club.

Under Rhodes never going to happen. Ever!

10m over the next 5 years would progress the club massively. 3M to buy the club would be a realistic price in my view. and 7m injected into the club over the next 5 seasons, ensuring this is spent in key areas such as youth development, scouting, fitness and conditioning, DOF, marketing, and a football CEO.

The problem is finding someone with 10m to splurge on a failing league 2 outfit. If you are not a city fan what makes us attractive? No assets, we don't own the ground, and its not a nice place, or attractive to investors.

Rhodes will buy the club after he has run its value down

In almost all of your posts not owning the training ground or stadium is catastrophic and devalues the club massively.

But in this one, it's an opportunity... Hmmm?

I hate what they have done to our club. We were flying before Wembley before we played Millwall and its been a mass spiral downward since then. Rupp and Rahic or Wrack and Ruin whatever fits. It depresses me to even think about it.

Lawn and Rhode's lack of sufficient funds and Rack and Ruin's promise to offer better. All down to choice and with no-one able to compete so we were told, the dye was cast. Biblically, betrayed for 'forty pieces of silver'. I await the second coming in earnest but respect Rupp for keeping us afloat..so far.

I think Rupp would like someone to buy 40-49% of the club and replace Rhodes,
