    He says
    “I think we have learned our lesson.” then follows that up by
    "We don’t want to get any debts and overstretch"
    Basically this means
    "We didn't get any decent players when they were desperately needed because of lack of investment and we're going to make exactly the same mistake again"

    I do like the sound of that, maybe add the manager who has been in football 30+ years might just have a better idea about football/players than me playing FIFA 2018.

    The downside is ............ IF the Bonus scheme is scrapped, ALL current contacts will need to be renegotiated, or the TEAM will be divided, in August ........ Some NEED to perform, whilst others don't. So hard to call.

    My main point being ... The impact on the Wage Budget ? How can one compensate for a potential Bonus, yet to be earned ? I suspect Agents will be milking this, for all its worth ?

    How about dipping into the savings they made on buying the club! If Rupp & Rahic paid a straight 25% of the reported £5 million in the first instalment, then subsequent instalments for the same amount of sterling will cost them less Euros. In simple terms the currency market fluctuations and the pound being worth 19% less to the Euro will mean that they have saved in the region of £750,000 .
