Sadly, I agree. It's the only way that has teeth.

I just do not think there’s enough interest in any protests.
Lethargy seems to be the biggest obstacle when it comes to protest.

Money is all that matters to Rupp.
He’s proved that in all the time he’s been here.
He has no interest in the playing side of the club.

Less Season tickets is the biggest threat to his investment.
Whether now is the tipping point in people’s anger at the way the club is being run remains to be seen.

Unfortunately,Sparks’ recent “interview” shows that those at the top are completely oblivious to the frustration that lots of fans are feeling at the moment and they genuinely think that all is rosy in BD8.

I don't see a season ticket boycott working.

There is a large base who are going to buy season tickets no matter what, and yeah, it makes a difference if attendances drop to 10,000 or so, but that's still 10,000 paying fans who are contributing to a League Two budget.

It should still be plenty of money, even if it contributes to a significantly lower budget.

It would take a season's worth of planning to make sure everybody understood what the purpose of a boycott was, and the strength of feeling shared among the fanbase.

A good start would be visual stunts, banners in the stadium perhaps. But with 10 home games to go, it really doesn't feel like a long time to get enough people on board.

Regrettably so whether there's enough fan support for it remains to be seen
Last night's (non attendance) is an indication but due to various factors unreliable
The next home match would tell us more

That's a fair point. Though I do think it could be mobilised more quickly than you suggest.

In any event, I think a natural drop in sales is likely.

It could be mobilized at the next home game, but the planning for that would have to start tomorrow. It's not about when, it's more about how much time we have left.

How strongly will the sentiment be felt among the fanbase as a whole? It might take all of this season and all of next for some fans to even think about getting on board, as a significant number seem to think there isn't a problem at all and it's just football and it will just magically come right.

It’s all about the last game win at will evaporate. A few banners will not do anything either. The only hope of change is persuasion

So you are not going then? I would have put you right at the front of the queue to get in such is the dismay you have towards the club right now.

And as for your question regarding Sparks-have you not been reading my posts for the last few years. There is your answer.

I will be going. So should you.

Interesting debate as to what might have a real impact on how Rupp sees things - as some have said the biggest issue is the near total fan apathy to whats going on and could the fanbase actually galvanise to major demonstrations (some talk about it but show little appetite to lead).

One thing that could have some impetus is if a major sponsor indicated they are seriously questioning maintaining their involvement as no longer want their brand linked to such a mediocre and poorly run club. Or even more if they notified a withdrawal of support until a change of leadership occurs.

I am still on the fence over Ruups ownership as, whether we like it or not, he is totally in the driving seat, but I am absolute in my belief that Sparks and Gent should no longer be at the club - and Rupp is the only one who can make this happen (bar resignations).

A major sponsor withdrawal might be our best hope of capturing Rupps attention - but perhaps only in my dream world
