I think you would struggle to get any banner into the ground especially with the number of security outside the ground. You would have to strategically position them elsewhere and hope the council doesn't take them down too quickly.

Who needs banners when you have a voice and are able to salute with a simple finger gesture.

I am out of the country at the moment, so wasn’t actually at the game. However I paid my €11 (actually £9.64 but that is another issue or those who paid £10).
Irrespective of the dreadful football on offer, then a few things were obvious on I-Follow.
    • Supporters are not going to matches. The official (so called) attendance figure was laughable. I would think there were 7,000 people in Valley Parade at a maximum.
    • There was more ‘atmosphere’ on the moon than at VP last night. Even Radio Leeds were commenting on it. Flat as a pancake.
    • The takings will have been down. I know the catering etc is franchised out, but they will have the franchise on the basis of some form of turnover.
    • Last nights match and the cumulative previous performances will undoubtedly have an impact on Season Ticket sales. Season Tickets provide a significant income. They also attract sponsors who wish to advertise to 15,000-18,000 spectators. A huge drop in sales will reduce the impact of sponsorship/advertising.
There needs to be a fundamental review of the process. Rupp will never recover his outlay, never mind catching up on inflation.
Having an exceptionally wealthy owner and a CEO who knows football, isn’t necessarily a panacea for City’s ills. Last nights dancing partner’s Salford City have both, yet they are starting to sink, the polished finish is tarnishing.
Perhaps some form of specialist consultant team to undertake a Forensic Review is the way forward.
Doing zilch is just endorsing gradual and significant decay.

Anybody who watched and listened to the game on I follow will have heard Jamis Raynor talk about crowd unrest and the fact that there will soon be an on air interview with questions from the fans. So how many on here have asked Sparks will he resign and ask Rupp to as well. Those that do want that to happen should get in touch if they fill that deeply

Being realistic, why would Sparks choose to resign willingly? He is in a job he seems to enjoy, he is being supported by his boss and he is delivering what his boss expects. That has nothing to do with the club progressing and improving but everything to do with avoiding his boss having to dip into his own pocket. Would Rupp sack him? No, for exactly the same reasons. Rupp's priority is for the club to be self-sustainable and that's what Sparks is doing. The club is ticking over as expected.

Unfortunately that approach is very, very different to what we fans expect after 6 years in the khazi. We expect the club to develop, to get out of this league and for the promises of the past to be delivered. That's part of the reason imo why there is so much distrust with the leadership and why som many are passed off with the situation. That's not how Rupp, and therefore Sparks see it and where they focus their energies. I've no idea how those two very different expectations can be reconciled.

I arrived in the main stand about 10 mins before kick off. No queues at all at the kiosks.

I think you are correct my post really was aimed at people wanting to get it off their mind to see what reaction they get. Raynor is not afraid to ask difficult questions

You in all honesty think he gives a shite what me or anyone else writes to him ............ he thinks hes doing a good job and hes probably telling Mr Invisible the same and lets not forget Mr Invisible let Rahic cause his damage unchallenged............... no the best way now is to actually hurt him where it hurts and that in the pockets ............. i know your gonna keep going and i will never slag you or anyone off for doing that ..............but these clowns need to know that this shitshow cannot go on and if it takes a few thousand to force the issue then so be it.

Tell me how is it going to hurt him in his pocket. Less revenue less expenditure . The only people it will hurt is people who care for the club. The only way fans will get change is dialogue and persuasion. From within and without

If he want his money back it will hurt him if it starts to cost him money wont it ???
6 years 6 fooking years mate and no chance of getting out of this league .............6 years of non league clubs passing us ...........6 years of sacking managers and still the core of the problem remains ..............6 years of giving crap players long term deals...........6 years of handing managers decent contracts only to sack them within a year ............. you can make out all is well but while you continue to put into that club your making the person who helped cause this damage life a lot easier.

I aint gonna slag you off you can carry on but i aint gonna turn up on a Saturday frustrated while some uncaring Twit in Germany is simply laughing at me for keeping his pockets lined

I would guess on several KPI’s Sparks is doing a good job. I would think the following would be measures of success.
    • Income ensuring that ‘sustainability’, is being achieved. I assume that measure is satisfied.
    • Season Ticket sales, a proud indicator of the club’s popularity increasing season on season.
    • Healthy growth in sponsorship partners.
    • Further relegation (after the Rahic fiasco) avoided.
    • Wages making the club one with a top 7 (or better) in the division are competitive.
    • Make the ‘play offs’ last season.
    • Have a high profile manager (well we did at the beginning of the season).
    • Avoid any scandals.
However you then see the start of the perfect storm.
    • The sinking position of the team as objectively measured by league position.
    • The poor product on the pitch, dull, dismal performances, haemorrhaging points.
    • Supporter growing disenchantment.
    • True ‘attendance’ (never mind the ticket sold figures being used to artificially produce figures) dramatically collapsing.
    • Potential disillusionment leading to a collapse in Season Ticket sales.
    • Revenue down, leaving a huge ‘hole’ in the ‘sustainable’ budget for next season.
    • The lack of balanced, achievable progress, making City a less attractive proposition for players and managers.
So there needs to be a mature reflection on the current situation. The main ‘product’, the actual football on the pitch is failing to reach the expectations of a growing number of supporters.

Despite the above, l will renew my Season Ticket……I guess at least 65-70% will also do the same. But the level of dissatisfaction will continue to grow. It will be something you do as a ‘chore’, because it is part of you. However the pride, enjoyment, sense of purpose will ebb away.

lt isn’t about me. At some point l hope to have grand kids who l can take to games. The current offering would not engage them, and without the future generations, then this club has the future of a Dodo (Park Avenue is on the brink), and will be History rather than the present and Future.

If you look at Filipe Morais' cv he would be an ideal replacement for Sparks. Perhaps he could even find a buyer for Bradford City and end Rupp's miserable ownership of the club?

    Exactly
Am starting to think those who, choose to purchase a season ticket are doing nothing but prolonging the agony ive been a supporter well over 50 years many many of those a season ticket holder but no more till Mr Invisible and his puppet have gone
The only way to bring it home to Rupp is to hit him in his pocket he will soon notice a vast drop in income from reduced season ticket sales ,advertising, sponsorship etc etc how will his golden boy look then when income starts falling
Bit drastic I know but am yet to hear of a better solution
Last night's attendance will be swept under the carpet as a bad night uncertainty of postponement etc but all Rupp will see is the ridiculous figure released presumably by the club, what encouragement does that give him to sell/reduce his valuation
An unholy mess we are in and drastic action needs to be taken unless we are happy to settle for mid table mediocrity in the khazi league but SuSTainaBle

Of course it's going to hurt him in his pocket the club can't survive a big reduction in cheap season ticket sales and the knock on effect it would have forcing him to either invest or stop asking 10 million for what amounts to be membership of the football league we have very little else to offer without the fan base
Please enlarge on "dialogue and persuasion" would love to know more on that little gem

Why does it do that, less customers means less revenue which in turn leads to less expenditure. So if revenue is down by say a million spending ie the budget down a million
