Just don’t…..the very notion of asking this fanbase to pay more in order to facilitate a better squad and the chance of promotion will have you assassinated.
We WILL NOT pay more than £8 a game and we want the PL in 5 years or we’ll cry and cry and cry until another manager gets sacked

I'm happier with the way things are going as finally we have a club with a proper structure in terms of transfers. A Director of Football might be a better idea, but I've no great feeling that it will.

They are not carrying "on what they have already done". The policies of the last two years, have been better than that of the previous five.

If Hughes hadn't lost his nerve in the play-off SF or even if our stupid fans hadn't ruined a 2-2 comeback at Crewe or even if we'd had the same rub of the green with refs last season as we have this season - we might be in L1.

I don't see the fact we're not been Rupp's fault - unless you can show us that he's not given managers money.

If they were carrying on those absolutely car crash policies of 2020, i.e. get rid of Bowyer when there is no better plan than to reinstall a bitter manager who is allowed to buy no decent players (Watt was the exception) - then I'd design a 'Rupp out' banner myself. Let's remember that it was Rhodes who gave us that year to forget, showing just how lucky he got with Parky.

What if Lewis has an agreement that if we don't go up then we would just let him go.

We are still in the same place so DOF or recruitment chief has not produced our desired wish ie to return to lg1. Pick and mix ideas on how to get out of this league appear to be in operation. That is why we keep having to recruit managers in hope that we can produce a Parky. That era is over we now need a proper plan properly researched and put together so that every body including the fans can buy into. We are like a lost tribe wandering around in the wilderness looking for a Parky.

Last time I went mate, my mother in law went with us this time, told us shed only recently found out they lost another member of the family there, she originally only knew of one family member who'd been murdered there. Harrowing place.

How have you expanded at all without taking risks? Please dont tell me you haven't cos it's not possible. If you ran your business just to get by then you would never grow. And that is exactly how our football club is now. We might be lucky and stay where we are, happy in the fact we have a club to support. But I guarantee you every club in this league and national league have progressed because somebody in the business hierarchy was willing to take a calculated risk.

    Absolutely spot on.
I’d add to this in that in addition to the owners of a business taking a risk by injecting their own cash or borrowing they must also analyse the risk of price increases and not just assume that putting up prices automatically means less custom.
We have 15000 ST holders currently who are more than happy to pay the price they are asked. (Why wouldn’t they?)
The majority of those are creatures of habit where football is engrained into their lives and won’t just stop going if prices go up.
Yes it’s a risky strategy but if I was the owner I’d be increasing prices to £299 (£13 per game) as the lowest adult ST price but also introducing a tiered pricing system where the premium seats in the stadium are priced higher at £350 (£15 per game)

and yes I’ve heard all the usual responses to this.
    ‘Cost of living crisis’
‘14th in league2, not right time to increase prices’
    ‘Stadium will be empty’

I've just posted on another thread about Stockport and their attempts to grow the club after years in the wilderness. They didn't just appear at the top of league 2 by magic, they have a series of plans based on the growth of Stockport itself as an area, the redevelopment of the ground and future team strengthening. Seems to be working.

There's quite a bit of churn in the ST numbers, season to season. I think in the region of 2000, don't renew each season are replaced with new/returning season ticket holders.

You do realise when he signed for us he was a complete unknown and just grateful to be given the chance of first team football don't you? As if something like that would have been written into his contract! :joy:

Increase away mate, but I absolutely guarantee you the drop in sales will negate the increase in income per sale. 100%

1500 didn't renew this year, but 2400 new purchases
360 didn't renew year before, but 1800 new
3000 didn't renew year before that, but 2100 new

I'll be honest and say I don't trust the figures as I can not see that we found 2400 new people this year on the back of losing 1500

Yes but a lot of reasons why the last few seasons saw an increase

21/22 after Covid folk desperate to see live football
22/23 The Hughes factor what could go wrong ???,
23/24 took season tickets off sale when it looked like we may go up

So we go to next season and will be amazed if there isnt a drop considering the club aint got fook all to fall back on apart from bullshit :(

Still whats the point a club with our fanbase from a City this size folk somewhat happy to be behind the likes of Stevenage and Fleetwood.

God i bet Rupp loves it here ...........sits on his arse does nothing and folk happy to go along with his aimless plan of keeping us at this level
