We're worse run as a football club, I support a football club not an end of year financial report. I want my club to be a success, I want them to try their best. I dont go all over the country singing songs about financial stability and hoping after 90 minutes we've turned a profit. Right now we're the 11th worse football club in the football league right now, how are you not embarrassed about that?

So what is he actually doing to atone? As I discussed with @Dennis@Dennis yesterday, he loaned our club money that his error had spent. Plus we are now a division lower and showing no signs of making the leap back to League 1.

Some very strange analogies being posted right now about running a business. Said business is going nowhere but wary of change cos it might go backwards? Weird logic. It's like me going to a restaurant the other week in Krakow and having a bad meal, but then we go back the night after for another one cos the other restaurants might be worse?
    Utterly baffling.

It’s a debacle as we seemingly appear under no pressure to sell.. let alone one of our better players. Our number 2 is 30 something player coach so not like we are blessed in this department.

Young is the leading goal scorer in the league we could only dream of accruing that in January… wait we have as he’s ours and under a lengthy contract.

Add to that we are one of the lowest scorers in the league and currently mid table and it would be hoped both of these players would support our ambitions this season or at least repairing some of the damage.

    It’s a mess….

Why is selling either a debacle ? Please explain. All players have a price and if Young is in demand why would we risk playing him and losing that fee ? Likewise Lewis, if a club want him and are prepared to pay us a handsome fee then why refuse.

All players have a price, if it's right for us, we should sell. no-one is irreplaceable.

But by that very rhetoric we could also do a lot better. And let's face it, McBurnies transfer saved his arse and that was thanks to Jr Rhodes.

As a business with your logic you would never go forward. As for easier said than done, that's just a defeatist way of looking. If you are happy with Rupp tell me one thing he has done this club forward? In what way are we better now than when he first came to the club? Or even to when he bought Rahic out?
    I'm waiting......

As an owner he's down absolutely nothing bar cover the mistake his business associate made. We are 14th in league 2 with probably another wasted season.
Believe me we deserve better than that.

There's no point coming on a site like this to complain about the owners or those that run the club. There is a large proportion of fans on here that love us being one of the worse run clubs in the entire football league. They love the awful grounds we visit and being the underdogs in everything, it reminds them of their youth in the 60s 70s and 80s that they're never getting back. It won't be until we actually do a Bury or Scunny when anything ever gets done by this incredibly cuckold fan base and unfortunately it will be too late by then.

Well there were plenty of customers but they all seemed disgruntled. Also the meals were only a quid cos the food was that bad. The restaurant over the road was really busy, been taken over by new owners last year. Had to book in advance, bit pricey but the customers.told.me.they were happy to pay that bit extra cos.the food and decor was first class.
    You get the idea....

How have you expanded at all without taking risks? Please dont tell me you haven't cos it's not possible. If you ran your business just to get by then you would never grow. And that is exactly how our football club is now. We might be lucky and stay where we are, happy in the fact we have a club to support. But I guarantee you every club in this league and national league have progressed because somebody in the business hierarchy was willing to take a calculated risk.

Of course it's not a debacle. We've had god knows how many managers in the last seven years, not one of which has been able or given the time to set his own plan, apart from Hughes who set it, didn't like it and ripped it up twice.

If selling Young & Lewis is what we need to give GA the funds and room in the squad to build us up from nothing, then we should give him the chance to do so. The biggest problem at this club is short termism and that can only be resolved by accepting that we might not get instant success and allowing time for a full reset, not the partial half arsed attempts at a reset that Bowyer, McCall, Collins, Hopkin, Trueman, Adams & Hughes all tried out (and failed).

First and foremost, get to 50 points this season, then let GA properly rebuild in the summer. Knee jerk reactions at the sale of our best player (Lewis) and one who has never proven himself in a Bradford City Shirt (Young) will never solve the problem.

At the back end of 1998 we looked poor and disjointed, but jewell was given the time (and the money) to add a bit of quality in key areas and we kicked on. The majority of which was with players that were already here.

Genuinely flabbergasted there is that much support for
    A. Ownership that has overseen one of the biggest declines in the football league.
    B. Apathy that we let the leading goal scorer in the division go and one of the best keepers in the league go.

Whilst we sit 14th!!! YES 14th in the basement league, with a next to terrible reputation for planning and forward thinking.

Amazing place Kev with cracking restaurants. My current favourite is Bocconera, an Italian place. Went a couple of times, fantastic as Jose would say

See its this mentality that gives the club reasons to just be as pathetic as they are. Just waiting for you to roll out the "WhY dONt yOU BuY THe CluB" like the other old people keep saying.

I saw a post on TCA titled " What is the f****** point in this club" and I found myself not being able to find an answer. There is no point to us, we're a nothing club devoid of ability ambition and backbone.

    Absolutely spot on.
I’d add to this in that in addition to the owners of a business taking a risk by injecting their own cash or borrowing they must also analyse the risk of price increases and not just assume that putting up prices automatically means less custom.
We have 15000 ST holders currently who are more than happy to pay the price they are asked. (Why wouldn’t they?)
The majority of those are creatures of habit where football is engrained into their lives and won’t just stop going if prices go up.
Yes it’s a risky strategy but if I was the owner I’d be increasing prices to £299 (£13 per game) as the lowest adult ST price but also introducing a tiered pricing system where the premium seats in the stadium are priced higher at £350 (£15 per game)

and yes I’ve heard all the usual responses to this.
    ‘Cost of living crisis’
‘14th in league2, not right time to increase prices’
    ‘Stadium will be empty’

1500 didn't renew this year, but 2400 new purchases
360 didn't renew year before, but 1800 new
3000 didn't renew year before that, but 2100 new

I'll be honest and say I don't trust the figures as I can not see that we found 2400 new people this year on the back of losing 1500
