He rates Gibson and feels he can only play out wide(where he isn’t as effective) or in the centre but only as part of a 3. And he wants all 3 strikers to play as much as possible as he feels these will be the key for us. For how much some rate Scannell he’s got 0 goals or assists yet and has spent most of the time out injured, not someone who I imagine Bowyer will lay all our hopes on.

True. I’d argue you prepare for the season. Be nice to play your first choice side but maybe he’s thinking it’s more preferable to play your first choice side in the first game if carrying a knock or not risk them in the first game as the season is long

 

Not another season of silly formations where players are just not good enough to make it work. I hope Bowyer realises 4-4–2 is the only formation to get out of this league.

Not with Donaldson, Vaughan and Doyle as the 3 up top he didn’t..... or for that matter, Palmer, Gibson and Anderson as his central 3.

Well atm it comes down to trusting GB. He sees these players every day, he might also need to confirm in his own mind that his second string as it were good enough, if not maybe he will have to go and get the 2/3 players I think we are short. Welcome back btw
