...how would we have accommodated Doyle and strengthen the squad at the same time. We had very little room to accommodate extra players due the high wages Rahic had dished out. We could not shift many of them due their high wages and the standard of football they produced in Div 1. So unless you can find a way to increase the clubs turn over we will have to accept how, Mr Rhodes, Mr Rupp and Mr Bowyer are managing the club / Doyle issue.

You don't loan a player that was you leading goalscorer to another club in the division that you don't know about.

Football is a squad game and you need quality forwards.

You want this club to be a charity and be soft? Rhodes mess up AGAIN and the Doyle situation if we don't bring him back will damage this club long term

Is this the same Doyle many called lazy and who was poor for us, they were more than happy to see him leave, but now Wellens has got Doyle scoring again it's all Rhodes /Bowyers fault. Football fans eh.....

100% it is Rupp and Bowyer's fault.

Don't you go to games? Cooke, Mellor, Vaughan, Oteh could all complain that they're not getting played right.

Rhodes should of engaged his brain and not done the deal at the start of the season.

Also Rhodes just isn't taking this club forward is he?

We signed two good strikers for this level and when they were both fit and Cooke got up to fitness we were playing 442 and playing our best football of the season.
Since Donaldson unfortunate injury Vaughan has to play out of position just as Doyle did last season and in my opinion does a better job of it.
Of course Doyle was let go for financial reasons however if he had showed any sign that he would score the goals he is doing he would still be here and we wouldn’t have signed Vaughan

Your talking to bronco not fordy I don't need it explaining mate ;), the big test will come mid to late January when Clayton comes back and as you say we can revert to a more conventional formation to get the best out of the squad.

When I talk about wanting Mr Rhodes and Mr Rupp out this is what I mean. We own no assets so make it difficult to generate money.

However, in terms of Doyle it's only six months. I would send a few loan players back and get the likes of Akpan and Devine off our books.

We need to find a solution of you might as well call Bradford Charity City the club for mugs.

Will Akpan and Devine release enough of the wages yes we can send loanees back so Palmer, Cooke, Devitt, Connelly, Oteh but that will leave us short in squad numbers even if we retain 1 or two. Doyle not wanting to he here, gets injured could upset the squad.

    Don't care what Doyle wants.

Upset the squad? Behave! He's a professional.

If fans ran on to the pitch they will get dealt with.

We can't afford as a club to let Doyle make decisions for us or players will bend us over in the future.

I’m pissed off as much as the next fan with the boring football that City are serving up, but calling Bowyer to be sacked is plain daft. Given what he inherited from Rahic he needs at least 1-2 windows to truly stamp his name on the squad.

Rupp however, needs to show he is serious about the club & back Bowyer in January. He needs to invest further money into the club to increase the FFP threshold & move on the high wage deadwood. This poor league gives us the best chance since 1985 of actually winning something....35 years! Do that and 20,000 s/t will be sold easy.

Quickest way for Rupp to get a return in his investment is to get the club back to the position it was when he backed Rahic & his pipe dream..City challenging for the Championship.

Here we go again Fordy. So you get your wish and Rupp and Rhodes feck off. Then what? Who is going to make the investment in both the squad and tangible assets that you want.
Try and do better than your usual answer of someone will always buy a football club. Who will buy it AND take it forward in the way you want?

Maybe @Fordy117@Fordy117 himself? He's keen to get others to invest but despite his own fortune, hard-earned from his own business empire, he sems reluctant to put his own money where his mouth is. If it's so easy for somebody else to make money by 'investing in assets' (whatever that might mean!) why wouldn't he do it for himself?

    Football isn't a money maker.

Nothing wrong with buying a training ground and renting it out though.

Bet the school are laughing that we use! Laughing!

Rhodes hasn't taken this club forward. He's done his job now.

Rupp worth 150m but not spending it on the club.

I don't see either as a big loss to the club right now.

Wow!! A sensible comment, which is grounded in facts. Most of the rest make the T&A's comments constant hilarious moaning, look considered a positive.

Thought I'd brave coming back on here, but I see its the usual negative self torture!!!

You might not see them as a big loss, but surely that depends on what the alternative is. You and I have banged heads over this many times. I don't think that currently there is anyone out there with enough interest in Bradford City to plough in the sort of money needed to take the club forward in the way you want. I would be delighted to be proved wrong by the way.

Mmm ask the Dog botherers last chairman do not think he did not do too badly when selling the club and still has an income from their training ground.
