I think he should, Doyle is good enough for League 1. And we rejected Everton to keep this lad so they must have seen something in him, if we got a young loanee from the Prem nobody would bat an eye lid, so why not give our own a chance. He'd learn a fair bit of Doyle as well.

And it keeps more budget for outfield players.

I think some of our posters are being a little unfair on Chicksen. Before his last injury he was looking decent, especially going forward. In my opinion he is a reasonable league one left back. Anyone who thinks we are going to get better for what we are prepared to pay is going to be disappointed. We cannot realistically expect another Mezza or an Amari Bell.

 

Nice to see that young Jordan Gibson has signed a new two year deal. The lads got magic in his feet so let’s hooe we see it on a more regular basis next season.

 

I Hope Colin Doyle stays he makes the odd mistake but don't all keepers.
Overall he didn't have a bad season and for commitment couldn't be faulted.
Law became stale and prodictable when in possession and added nothing to our goal tally.
The less said about Poleon the better still under contract unfortunately.

A guy who has been here that long and could only establish himself when we were absolutely atrocious gets a deal based on a couple of months of good form.

Not sure how many times this needs explaining, but McGowan is NOT a right-back and will start as our right centre-back next season. So you need to revise your list to sign 2 RBs and just 1 CB (pref left-footed to challenge Killa)

In fairness I don’t think he was given a fair crack of the whip. Looked up for it in the one game he played.

 

Poleon, Chicksen and NKP are still under contract but they all need shipping off. They’re all fecking shite.

Only surprise with the retained list, is offering Dieng another contract. Hasnt done enough for me over the 2 seasons he has been here, to warrant a new contract. We need much better and younger in central midfield

looking at what we're left with it is very evident we need to sort out a new coach ASAP and get some quality, in numbers.

 

Player development seems to be the phrase of the summer and if there is one player that it should apply to its Jordan Gibson. Such a bright but raw talent that will need the right guidance. If he can bolt on an end product to the skill and pace that he possesses then we'll have an exciting player on our hands.

Gibson is a good test of the setup. We've scouted him and given him the opportunities last season, he needs to kick on over the next two seasons now. He's done the hard part by getting this two year deal but hes by no means the finished article so he needs to get his head down and work hard.

 

if Kai Brunker is leading the line next season we are more fùcked than i thought. We need better if we want to achieve promotion- or even midtable.
