Fining dining in Queensbury is brown bread with your fish and chips.

Wally = pickled gerkin. Completely unseen in Yorkshire chippies, sadly.

    Rock eel, if you please.
One of the great things about moving to Yorkshire is never having to suffer rock eel again. Disgusting muck that my mum used to foist on us defenseless kids.

I'll probably regret asking but what's Rock Eel.......and while I'm at it, what exactly is a savaloy? I seem to remember it as some uniform shaped artificial orange sausage.

Beans just feels wrong. Like eating fish and chips on a Sunday, it's just not right. Chippy teas ona Monday or a Friday tea time, sat'day dinner or on the way home from the pub. Eating fish and chips on a cold night walking from the boozer is one of life's pleasures.

Southerners put lemon juice on their kebabs. Now that’s just wrong.

Even more wrong than putting eel sauce on mash.

Aye. Fryer Tucks down Bankfoot was always open at closing time. I don’t think it’s there anymore though.

It’s what they have instead of gravy on their pie and mash.

I think it's gone, pretty much like all the pubs. My brother in law now lives near Beaconsfield, can't get decent fish and chips down there. And a take away curry cost him over 20 quid. World's gone mad.

It's a Domino's pizza shop now, and the Italian above went years ago.

I used to think that Italian was the height of posh. Can't remember the name of it. The first time I ever spent over a hundred quid on a meal was in there once when I was treating the family. Thinking back there were about 7 or 8 of us eating so that was fck all really.
