It's certainly a good looking place. We stopped by on a whistlestop manchester tapas tour. Only had a bite in the bar but v nice.

Went here http://www.theclassroombistro.com the other night. For the almost identical cost of the disappointing brewers fayre meal from a couple of weeks ago we had a lovely meal.

Steak for the Mrs, rack of lamb for me. Simple but tasty pasta for the kids. Nice place if you're ever in Nairn.

Took my mother to La Terrace today for lunch. We went there because I started to look online at Dick Hudsons menu and than other local pubs, but all offered similar menus of a similar degree of boring stodginess. https://terracecafebar.co.uk/

We had 2 pints of Moretti and 2 Tuna melt paninis with mayonnaise, olives, red onions & mozzarella, + salad and coleslaw. The place was busy with a steady flow of customers, all looked like they had money, it'd go bust within a year if it opened in BD1. Owner was on the ball, waitress not so, food was great, so fresh and although "only" a panini it was the size of a "meal" (for me).

Cost? About £23, considering location, atmosphere, clientele, food, service, decor and ............lighting I think it was a good deal.:)

We like it there. Local enough to us to walk to, which is a bonus.

Went to the Brown Cow at Bingley for a meal with friends this evening. Menu is standard gastro pub type fare but it was well done. I had the smoked haddock fish cake with chilli jam to start with followed by sea bass with crushed garlic potatoes and green beans. The fish was well cooked, crispy crust and not over done. Service friendly and efficient. Prices average. Would eat there again for an informal relaxed meal.

Wow, that venison looks amazing. As does the chicken. As does....it all looks amazing.

It's on the list, not too expensive too.

Yep - I'm dead glad he hasn't gone down the 75 quid tasting menu path and has chosen to do grub you want to eat.

Like you say in your review - it looks a decent size plate of food.

Wonder if we'll ever get a new restaurant. One with, y'know, a kitchen.

Or are we forever going to served up guff like this that I've just been sent:

"The team behind the UK’s fastest growing artisan dessert café, Heavenly Desserts, are proud to announce the opening of their latest addition on 254 Great Horton Road, Bradford, with the doors officially opening to the public at 12pm on Saturday 14th July 2018."

Wrote this about a dead good place in Leeds that's evolved from being a greasy spoon to a top restaurant.

    https://wp.me/p3Rnlb-4UE

While finishing it I got hungry and was looking forward to baking some bread to go with tea but it turns out my oven's knackered.

Weird writing about a restaurant then not having the gear to make a meal mi'sen.

Franchised nonsense, about as much "artisan" as KFC (at least they do chips)

Been to Bolton Abbey for a drink. 2 glasses of prospect, a J2O and a pint of beer £25! No wonder they call it a brasserie!!
