Perhaps best to start with the various courses, including amuse-bouche, they were:
    BLACK PUDDING pickled apple;
SMOKED EEL potato, fermented garlic and flowers
    RAW MACKEREL radish, purslane
    OYSTER cured ham, dill, buttermilk
BAKED CARROTS doddington, chrysanthemum and sea buckthorn
TURNIP AND CRAB anise hyssop and sunflower seeds
HOLSTEIN FRIESIAN barbecued celeriac, mustard and shallot
GRILLED LANGOUSTINE smoked marrow and green tomato
TURBOT COOKED ON THE BONE artichoke, sea vegetables and mussel cream
WESTMORLAND CHICKEN hen of the woods, candisa cabbage in ham fat and
    elderflower
    GINGERBREAD roots and pine
TARLETON STRAWBERRIES cream cheese and sweet cicely
WORCESTER PEARMAIN woodruff and whey caramel

    Every course was absolutely magnificent!

The building is a very tastefully renovated former manor house (guy who was the owner of Kwik-Save). A Tudor building with a number of additions and alterations. The dining room was built when it was converted to a restaurant with rooms. Light, airy and lots of glass. Tables spread out, but not too much so.
Service was impeccable, discrete, focused, and friendly! The kitchen was visible and was of a standard fitting to this establishment. Missed out on the 'paired wines' but a very good list. Knowledgeable and helpful sommelier.
    The 'crew' was very young.
The chef Mark Burchall was an unassuming guy, seemed almost a little shy, but boy is he on the top of his game.

This was up there as one of the best meals and experiences I have ever had!

Grand! Turobot sounds cracking. Special occasion place by the look of it? I read someone saying they reckon it'll get a 2nd Michelin star this year.

I have dined in some excellent high end restaurants over the years and for me this definitely deserves a second star. Been to Le Champignon Sauvage, which is a two star, in my view Moor Hall is more than equal to it.

Tried to book into the Moorcock Norland, but following the very positive reviews, there is no chance at a weekend at present. Another review to compliment Jay Rayner’s.https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/restaurant-review-marina-oloughlin-the-moorcock-inn-west-yorkshire-rd7x3tn5r

    Praise indeed!

Following Marina's review in the Times I booked into the Moorcock, sharpish. Going in July (lunch) & Sept (tea).

No, but it does look good if you're fancying steaky stuff.

We went to the Foundry recently, with ex Masterchef finalist Matt Healy running the show. Superb, with a couple of good pubs nearby too.

    Only opened 1 month ago.

Been to it at lunchtime. The ‘set menu’ is a good deal. Not eaten there at night. I guess a former bank, lots of space. I had a burger and my partner had the fish. The steaks look interesting on the menu.

Not sure if you use this website. https://www.viamichelin.co.uk/web/Restaurants Had some excellent meals at restaurants I would not have known about.

Day-to-day scran in my house is usually variants of 'something on toast'.

Don't be daft - generous slithers of imported truffle with just the merest trickle of first-press new season olive oil.

Aye, we use this particularly to find the Bib Gourmand places doing good grub at a relatively cheap price.

Snap great minds (or food oriented ones) think a like. ;) I have used it as a link and reserved seats at restaurants around the world. Only had one bad experience in Calvi. Turned up at the restaurant having booked on line several weeks beforehand https://www.hotel-lavilla.com/ they could not find the booking on their system. Took an age to ‘find’ us a table. Recall the meal was good but the atmosphere a little unwelcoming. That apart, it is an invaluable tool.

El gato negro, but not Malaga but Manchesta ;)

They do a £15 for three courses deal. Also excellent wine list which is affordable and by the glass. Good cooking and a nice setting over three floors on King Street West.

Been this week, so an upto date review.
