Not really in Leeds but this is based in Bradford. They had to do something different. The price at £50 per head will only attract the class from the city and around.

    Class or stupid with money?
I'd go for the latter, which equates to no class at all.

Out in Leeds last Saturday night. In one of the "in" bars a bottle of Whispering Angel rose wine was £35 which is actually pretty good price. Later on in the restaurant, Tattu, the same wine was £70 a bottle. That is taking the p#ss

Pretentious dive is that Tattu and heard a few people with food poisoning. Wouldn’t catch me dead in that place….all love island crowd paying on their credit cards…

Lol. I think most people pay for everything by credit card nowadays. Most people don't use cash anymore....unless you are meaning they pay on their card and then spend the next year paying it off! We hadn't been to Tattu since before Covid but the food was always very good, if maybe not good VFM. But I think you are right, does seem right up itself now. I can't imagine we will be going back, although the food was still good. We tend not to get as far as town so much nowadays. Plenty of decent places in Horsforth, Headingley and Meanwood.

Has anyone been to The Pepper Mill in Saltaire?
When down for City matches we used to go the Waterside on Saturday evening but unfortunately it's closed.

Not surprised unfortunately. Remember it from around 2004 onwards and it was banging and busy. Last few times I've been it's been ok but I don't think that's enough these days. Such a shame. Just back from Sakkusamba in bfd...I think fordy really liked it. God knows why. Brilliant menu... absolutely huge but the food was so bland. Still, he didn't like Waterside because the menu was tiny and the food was excellent

I couldn't think of a worse place in Bradford to bring new businesses, hope they have the "Rolex" watches well protected, the odd pint in the Fighting *@?$ and the odd time I go that way knowing half of Bradford City centre is being dug up are the few time I frequent that area.

They won't get nicked as the "dealers" love a good watch and there is more to be gained by laundering their money on one than nicking one. Shame the type of shops there won't benefit the FC. Much more likely to drive it out of business due to cultural differences. Oh what a cynic I am.

It’s in the comments section. Credit to @Fordy117@Fordy117 I guess he must have taken the time to read it.

If you think "Cannon mills" you'll be pretty close to how this will actually turn out,’

You can’t just open a restaurant and ‘get a Michelin Star’. I would guess it would be at least 18/24 months and that would be exceptional.
If you think of the Devonshire at Bolton Abbey, The Box Tree in Ilkley, then they have all lost their Michelin stars.

This is the current list for the whole of Yorkshire. https://yorkshirewonders.co.uk/michelin-star-restaurants-yorkshire Only seven for the whole county.

It is exceptionally difficult. The standards are for meticulous consistent cooking. The cost for a meal is substantial say a minimum of £150-£200 a head.

Restaurants are assessed by Michelin staff who book in anonymously.

I am sure @millario@millario and @Offcomedun@Offcomedun will agree with what I am saying.
