From the time Rupp and Rahic purchased our club they made it clear that would not be the case with regards bringing players through to play in the first team.
Rahic made it clear his intentions were to pick up players from premiership academy clubs they may discard and we can develop them to sell on, just goes to show how naive he was making that sort of comment, yes there have been cases of the odd one slipping through the net and going on to prove Premiership teams wrong but they have been few and far between, it was a long way from how Phil Parkinson wanted to go about bringing success to Bradford City Football club hence why he did not hang around after speaking with Rahic.
Here the video "Matter of the Heart" from when they took over the club a shame their vision didn't work out and we find ourselves in the lower regions of League two.

It’s a bonus or suppliment to budgets because there is absolutely zero certainty that young players come through year on year. That’s absolutely impossible to forecast?

Take Bobby, he’s a good upcoming player, Who can forecast he will be transferred, when , how much for, and factor any potential sell on fees?

I wouldn't disagree with an increase but IMO that would be based on how this season goes, once again the old argument comes up who benefits the most with regards our manager bringing us a little success, yes us fans would be more than happy to see us in League One but the one who would benefit most is Rupp especially now the other side of the business is doing well, we can only assume that would bring even more off the field revenue into the club, if we fail to go up this season which I believe is very much still in our own hands then maybe a cash injection would be acceptable to our owner to give us an extra boost next season, or am I asking too much ?.

A bad start the season an people begin to lose their minds

we may be playing shit, but we're a farcry from getting relegated

the real problem this club has, besides the incompetent owners, is the hiring of managers who pick a style of play, an then refuse to sign players that are accustomised to that style of play. Maybe Alexander will be different, But Hughes an Adams were shocking at it in that regard

Yes that’s the downside. I prefer, like you the upside of on the field progress.

The only issue with that proposal, is that they tend to put Season Tickets on sale in the spring and before promotion is decided. It was mid May this season before the club was consigned to another season in League Two.

So do you set the price on the basis you are going to remain in League Two.

If you increase the price and then fail to get promoted, then that would anger a significant number!

If you did get promoted and the Season Tickets were devised with a League Two playing budget, then you are certainly going to struggle to attract players to establish the Club in a higher tier.

    A significant conundrum.

I've already agreed with you. They're not budgeted for.
You could end up with a McBurnie deal or a Cleverley free transfer.

Yes, agreed it may take a season for the increase to kick in.

I get the whole idea of having a sustainable budget. However if Rupp were to say that he would make up the shortfall if City were to get promoted, then that could assist.

At today’s price then if we saw tickets increase to around £229.50 (and pro rata for children plus seniors), and maintain the support base, then that would be around £500,000 - £550,000.

A delay in implementation of one season could need additional funds to make the club competitive.

I decided to anaylse this entire squad an get a deeper perspective on our problems

Lewis - Been poor this season but there is a player in there

    Halliday - Been solid

    Oyegoke - Bambi on ice

Stubbs - Decent, but lacks pace

Platt - Half decent, but lacks pace

Taylor - Not decent, and lacks pace

Kelly - Shit, and lacks pace

Tomkinson - Who the feck knows, but apparently has pace

Ridehalgh - Something about a lack of pace

    Richards - Looks promising

Smallwood - Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit

Gillead - Runs around a lot an puts a shift in

Mcdonald - Has the turning circle of the titanic, but can pick a pass

Pattison - Quality, but always injured

Osadebe - Bradford City's very own Ali Dia

Walker - Runs around a lot, gives away stupid fouls, but is probably the most technically gifted player at the club

Chapman - Kyel Reid V2. Has everything but end product

    Tulloch - Meh

    Wilson - Meh

    Afoka - Shit

Odour - Reminds me of Mark Yeates. First game lf the season he looks like Eden Hazard, after that he goes into default mode an turns into Zavon Hines

Pointon - Quality. He'l be gone by January though

Smith - Looks like a striker, but doesn't look like a striker at the same time

Cook - Needs to get out of the kitchen

    Oliver - Sick note

Derbyshire - He qualifies for his national pension next week

All in all, we're fecked. Squad is bigger than Phil Parkinson's annually season Defecit. We have a backline consisting of some football intelligence an zero pace and a forward line constiting of pace an zero football intelligence. We also have Osadebe on the wing

One way or another, I highly doubt there are less than 2 teams that have worse squads than ours. Alexander should be able to figure something out, but he better figure it out fast

But don't worry you might get your wish this season if GA and the players don't pull there fingers out. We're in a scrap to stay up.

I think that we have had key players missing. We wasted the start of the season by playing 3 at the back. We've had Cook an Lewis off form, the defence has been chopped an changed on a regular basis. Pattison an Chapman have been missing an with all the uncertainty with the mangership, players have been unsettled. Once all of our injured players are back, our team can look like this:
    Lewis
    Halliday Platt Stubbs Richards
    Smallwood Pattison
    Pointon Walker Chapman
    Cook

That team may not compete for promotion, but it will be far from the drop zone once the team is set

Anyone contemplating relegation as a good idea must be a sarnie short of a buffet.
This club takes a decade to get over relegation if not more

@Interested Bystander@Interested Bystander I certainly am not advocating increasing the price to £340. I wouldn’t increase it to £309 to limbo under The Bubbles! I think that £229.50 may well be acceptable…..if City get to League 1.
