Nothing wrong with watching football, But what is wrong in my opinion is that people are still going which is still supporting two men who have disrespected the togetherness of the club which was a strong bond since the disaster.

Again - This is all down to opinions. You have yours, and others too may share that - But to say others who differ are wrong is so very wrong in itself. Sorry - but it is.
Tub thump your own drum, by all means - However ..... Let others bang out their own tunes on theirs, OK ? :)

There have been many dark times in our History (Long before 1985) - If you experienced them .......... DID you also abandon City then ? I very much doubt it ;)

I support MY CLUB ........ Not a few individuals.

Relegation is not yet a foregone conclusion - Yet the harsh reality is, it's closing in fast with each negative result. The players may not deserve my support - But my Club does, and will always have it ....... including the team when on the pitch. It is true that I no longer bust a gut to attend games - As the closing betting statement alludes to, and tells you ......."When the fun stops - STOP ". Time spent away is not desertion, more like one of reflection. I think that is a place we all hold our own Council ?

I'm supporting my team when I go, nobody else. And I'll continue to do so.

    Mid February.

maybe we could set a record as the earliest a team has ever been relegated mathematically.

Very sadly ...... that's not impossible, Ricc.
But even the 'darkest' on this Forum still have a glimmer of hope - It will not be the case ?

As fans we can protest all we like - Just as we cheer the team along, on match days.

But if players don't pull their weight, and deliver the 'basics', then things are not looking good.
I for one am just sick and tired of viewing each League one game as a first 'preseason friendly' !

At 17 games in, our team should be at least - Competitive, hard working, fit, and understanding the 'game plan'. Even recent results demonstrate we (our players) recognise non of those.
Yes, I know the match team is constantly changing - But surely Hopkin trains the whole group the same ? If so .... WHY any misunderstanding from our 'players' ?

Don't know how long you've been going Ronnie but when i started there was 2.5k in the stands and we were struggling at the bottom div 4. Of course we don't want to return to those days but everyone still turned up and suported the team good OR bad.

I wonder what the social media gen would do with the Docherty era........shocking. I remember players being booed on!! don't remember the attendances dropping though.

Been going (when I can) since 1968 ......... Seen so much, and experienced so many downfalls - But I still keep turning up when 'I can' :) Seen well over 1,200 games - Both Home and Away. Often travelled from Germany to do so, as well as so many parts of the UK in that time. :)

But yes, I too have witnessed what felt like an empty stadium ... Less than 2k At VP :)

This form without doubt we are down but to write it off now I dunno there are a hell of a lot of points to play for. It does look bleak but if we don’t at least doubled our points tally by Christmas then I would say we’re gone

Accepting shitness simply because we’ve been shit before, is the worst argument of the lot. Very happy clapperish.

happy clappers are missing the point spectacularly when going on about how when we were bottom of division four and continuing to support good or bad.

it wouldn't be so bad if it was just poor football and poor results that were making people stay away, you might have a point if it was, but it isn't is it, it runs MUCH deeper than that!

this isn't about the players, the team or the results. it's about much more.

Yeah....you keep banging on about it but i choose to go and watch the football. When you've digested that....remember some of us were at the forfront of REAL problems not so very long ago. People ralied round and STILL supported the team. If and when it ever gets to that stage again i'll do it again. You want a change at the top, i just want to watch football......you just seem to want to name call because i won't dance to your tune Ricc. At least have a little bit of class and appreciate people's views that don't match your own......again....i'm just a supporter.

If we were 7 points off the play offs at this point, would you concede that we wouldn't have a chance of making it. No. Things are good, but we have to believe or what's the point in going. If the so called happy clappers try to support the team, why knock them

If a team is 7 points off the playoffs. It generally means they’ve managed to win a few games.

accepting failure because you just like football.

you'd be better off watching Sunday League than professional football.

You are watching pro football for Sunday league prices.
Nobody likes it when the team is as bad as it is. Proper supporters take the rough with the smooth. Staying away may be bad for the owners but it will be worse for fans because if this club gets into financial difficulties again they will throw the book at us.mind you that won't bother some because they are not bothered about going anywsy
