I for one don't think it's a foregone conclusion. It's looks more likely than not, but conceding defeat right here and now is unduly pessimistic.

Again - This is all down to opinions. You have yours, and others too may share that - But to say others who differ are wrong is so very wrong in itself. Sorry - but it is.
Tub thump your own drum, by all means - However ..... Let others bang out their own tunes on theirs, OK ? :)

There have been many dark times in our History (Long before 1985) - If you experienced them .......... DID you also abandon City then ? I very much doubt it ;)

I support MY CLUB ........ Not a few individuals.

Relegation is not yet a foregone conclusion - Yet the harsh reality is, it's closing in fast with each negative result. The players may not deserve my support - But my Club does, and will always have it ....... including the team when on the pitch. It is true that I no longer bust a gut to attend games - As the closing betting statement alludes to, and tells you ......."When the fun stops - STOP ". Time spent away is not desertion, more like one of reflection. I think that is a place we all hold our own Council ?

I'm supporting my team when I go, nobody else. And I'll continue to do so.

Why are you a happy clapper if you attend to watch football matches? Something people enjoy doing even if, yes, we are crap?

Don't know how long you've been going Ronnie but when i started there was 2.5k in the stands and we were struggling at the bottom div 4. Of course we don't want to return to those days but everyone still turned up and suported the team good OR bad.

I wonder what the social media gen would do with the Docherty era........shocking. I remember players being booed on!! don't remember the attendances dropping though.

I agree. Our club has been stolen from us by charlatans. That is why the present situation is so different to any dark days of the past, and why, for me, it requires a quite different response.

In those days 2.5 k in the stands I remember it well
We were a close knit club we knew all the players by 1st name the chairman was a City fan we were all in it together we had hope we had faith and above all we were steered by a board who loved the club I even remember a certain player no names mentioned catching the bus to the ground with the fans another was no stranger to having a pre match drink in a hostelry close to the ground
We were a family cloud Management , Players,Fans all in it together
Tell me which of the above we have now
Maybe this is part of the reason we have so much unrest amongst the fans

happy clappers are missing the point spectacularly when going on about how when we were bottom of division four and continuing to support good or bad.

it wouldn't be so bad if it was just poor football and poor results that were making people stay away, you might have a point if it was, but it isn't is it, it runs MUCH deeper than that!

this isn't about the players, the team or the results. it's about much more.

I missed the Burton win due to holiday, so I've seen us take 1 point all season and we are approaching Christmas. Never known a season as bad as this and I've been going since mid sixties.

Yeah....you keep banging on about it but i choose to go and watch the football. When you've digested that....remember some of us were at the forfront of REAL problems not so very long ago. People ralied round and STILL supported the team. If and when it ever gets to that stage again i'll do it again. You want a change at the top, i just want to watch football......you just seem to want to name call because i won't dance to your tune Ricc. At least have a little bit of class and appreciate people's views that don't match your own......again....i'm just a supporter.

Stop all the doom and gloom and relegation talk. Time to be positive. I'm going to guess when we'll be promoted... 18 April 2020. We'll win a hard fought match away at Stevenage. Josh Wright will be appearing on a reality show on some obscure channel and Edin will be sitting at home in Germany looking at football clubs for sale in western Kazakhstan where no one knows football.

Very sadly ...... that's not impossible, Ricc.
But even the 'darkest' on this Forum still have a glimmer of hope - It will not be the case ?

As fans we can protest all we like - Just as we cheer the team along, on match days.

But if players don't pull their weight, and deliver the 'basics', then things are not looking good.
I for one am just sick and tired of viewing each League one game as a first 'preseason friendly' !

At 17 games in, our team should be at least - Competitive, hard working, fit, and understanding the 'game plan'. Even recent results demonstrate we (our players) recognise non of those.
Yes, I know the match team is constantly changing - But surely Hopkin trains the whole group the same ? If so .... WHY any misunderstanding from our 'players' ?

It's well documented on here I dislike the owners with a passion. I want them gone, i don't want to put another penny their way.

However, I'll tell you now we wont go down, the players are learning and learning fast what it means to play for us. Former players, the Manager, the Fans and the clubs spirit is starting to put a desire into them. The victories will come regardless of that Twit that's fkd us over.
