If I was him, Abbott, Drury or even Killgallon and this wasn't true I'd straight be shouting about it..

Same with all the other B.S that has gone on.. Tony McMahon is that much of a snake I can't believe he hasn't lifted the lid. This to me is why I just don't believe a lot of what is said or certainly the extent of it. John Hendrie could come out and say something as he will know, but he hasn't.

Even McCall when he gave his interview only alluded to things really. Apart from the Barr incident. He never mentioned anything about interfering with the team in terms of setup or fitness regime.

I don't for one second believe Rahic is an innocent victim in any of this.. He has a massively over inflated ego and some of the things I have heard him say in private have made me wince a bit. However I don't believe he is the monster some try and portray him as. He has pissed off too many people for at least one not to come out and say something or "reveal all"

 

I don't have to say anything to put them in a bad light.. they did a good enough job of that themselves.

 

I agree with all of that. I'd also add the series of statements/promised made by Edin that he has subsequently gone back on. He's created a situation where a large number of us do not believe a word he says. He needs to build trust by delivering on his promises on top of all the other stuff you've listed.

Don't recall saying that, no.

What I am saying is if he at this point had doubts over whether he was sticking by collins, why would he then allow collins to get rid of a key player?

 

Well I know for a fact he was ringing round clubs last summer begging for a contract. He spoke to PP about 10 times to take him over Darby the year before. Then when Blackburn told him no he came groveling for a years deal.

I also feel he threw McCall under the bus in January by being "Injured" only to make a miracle recovery the day after the transfer window closed.

I've heard he treated the young lads in the squad badly to the point of bullying. He just comes across as a not very nice human.. and when a youth player played a prank on him the year we got to Wembley he basically tried to have the youth player sacked. Then got him back by trying make him pay a bar bill that was about £750 on their trip to Ireland.

That in a nutshell is why i think he is a snakey little c**t

 

Don't see the issue with the first point - he was out of contract, needed a club - be proactive in trying to get a deal.

and he wasn't 'injured' he was suspended by Edin, and was only brought back because Grayson insisted on it.

 

Agree there isn't anything wrong with it.


Well he played against Oldham when McCall was still in charge so not sure how that last bit can be true.

Ioz, I am a polite chap by nature But I do know who I think is responsible for many of the problems we have faced - in my British way I just didnt want to say 100% to blame!

 

Yet when parky left and there was outcry over him taking all his coaching staff and research and scouting, we still got to play offs that season.

Now they have made some crucial mistakes but we can’t label them with all the bad times and not praise them when it’s gone well. Using every other reason under the book as to why we did well that year. They were a big part of it and then the mistakes came.

It’s 2 seasons just over now with 1 and a half good years and 9 months of garbage.

McCall was a good appointment who knew the club and they were brave given how he failed the first time with big budgets. Then he was sacked and maybe shouldn’t have been but we appointed Grayson who was a great caretaker given he walked in the summer. The biggest mistake was Collins, awful appointment and they were rightly hounded for it.

But has to be balance to our criticism

I think the majority were happy with the recruitment during the summer. Things looked to be moving in the right direction, only the appointment of Collins was the 'wtf' moment.

Had Rahic appointed Hopkin instead I wonder if he would've been as hated as he is now?

Fast forward 77 days and we are where we would've been, so let's try and reign in the negativity and bitterness and give these players and Hopkin the best chance to take us forward. If they do that, we don't need to worry too much about the owners and we can start enjoying our weekends again.

 

Is it.. Evidence? This works both ways.. Can't ask for evidence for one thing then just expect people to accept another version of events without providing evidence. - This is a general comment not aimed at you

Also if he was why has he not come out and said so?

Again I'm not defending Rahic in anyway. I just think things are blown way out of proportion at anything he says or does

Because obviously I wasn't there when these things were said so it is al hearsay, it's such an easy come back so could you put a bit more meat to the bone, and remember no hearsay please,

 

Well the first part was told to me by an ex high profile player of the club (who played with McMahon and Darby)

and in regards the youth player this was told to me by the now ex player at the POTY awards before Wembley

 

Isn't that the whole basis of what went wrong, Edin told us the quality candidates were not offered contracts which suggests to me they were not good enough or weren't 100% behind Edin's vision.
Yet 6 weeks/77 days later he discards the very man he said was 100% on board and he (maybe Stefan) believed could do the job only to bring back one of the applicants (if the media can be believed) and offered him the job, and some are praising him for making a quick decision after the terrible start, give me strength.
Not sure how you can say "Fast forward 77 days and we are where we would've been" neither you or I know who Dave Hopkin might have brought in if he had been appointed earlier, so until January he is lumbered with the players Edin, Greg and Micheal brought in, there is no doubt in my mind Hopkin will get the better out of them lets hope it's not just a mid table finish or as a club they have learnt little.

 

So hearsay, that's the whole point either fellow posters believe it or not, we weren't there so we are believing players/people who were there at the time and passing what we were told on in a football forum.

 

Well you can call it Hearsay apart from the fact one came directly from the person it happened to.

Whilst another came from a player within the squad.. basically it's better ITK information than about 95% of the rubbish spouted on here most of the time
