I’m not sure Ryan would go to the effort of flying to Germany for talks with Rupp and to ask for help on the football side of things, only to then undermine any person that comes in to help him.

If Jewell had been used an advisor and his advise totally ignored why would he even consider joining the same set up and working with the person who ignored his advise and the person who he said wasn’t right for the job?

plus it would make GA position untenable having a boss brought in who has previously said he didn’t think he was the right man for the job.

None of that makes for a good base for a long term working relationship
