You are the ONLY person who is defending the club for coming up with such a hair-brained scheme

Either you are on the wind up, or you are one of the idiots at the club making these god awful decisions

 

But it is a lot dearer Park. The package does not include flights to Spain.

 

I enjoy these sort of threads for the ensuing meltdown. But then i couldn't really care less about watching pre season friendlies, just a load of blokes gaining fitness. If it was a game that had some semblance of importance i might acutally give a shit.

 

Are you on the understanding that a flight to Benidorm if the same as a bus to Bradford, because that's the only way it would be the same or cheaper than a self arranged package deal ?

It's totally micky mouse with no commitment from the arranger to provide anything other than a fleapit hotel and a bus from the airport. The whole thing will be inhabited by piss heads from the Ointment/ Rose & Crown.

Nowhere has it said this is at the clubs ground. I wouldn't be surprised if it's at a fenced off training ground and the fan zone is a large tent selling bottles.

The whole thing smells of chancery and opportunism.

What's everyone's problem here? If you're not happy at what the club is doing then don't go. It's really that simple.
You're not obligated to pay anything. That's the thing about a free market economy.
I wouldn't mind but the vast majority of those moaning have absolutely no intention of going even if it was free

 

The issue to me, even though I wouldn't be going anyway, is that the access to the match is only via this package, therefore at the price set by an outside company who are profiteering from it.

By all means sell a package to those who want it, but the tickets for the actual match should be available through other channels as well.

In all honesty, moaning about the fans being exploited/excluded aside, this is a great opportunity for the team to gel, get fit, lose some pre season weight, and experience playing abroad. It can only be a good thing.

ps can't believe after all the hype around it being an exclusive game and only those signed up can watch it, that it's now being streamed live on YouTube

Just a reminder for anyone that's as daft as me that the game tonight kicks off at 6pm UK time. Even though I'm well aware of the time difference, I've still had it in my head all week it's a 7pm start and the penny has only just dropped when I got a message about it from a mate.

 

I was going. The Pinatar Arena is just down the road from my girlfriend's apartment so that would have been perfect. But it's now a two-and-a-half hour car journey so I'll watch it at the apartment with a few Mahou's to keep my hydration at the optimum level.

 

I went on a coach from the Corn Dolly to the RKC game. Brilliant weekend. There was over a 1,000 City fans at the game.
Highlight for me was going to Marco Sas's bar where he bought all 30 plus of us a drink. Legend

 

Passing it around at the back too slowly and get caught out. Who'd have guessed?
