I'm a big Uber Fan, mainly because they are more reliable and a tad cheaper than Girlington All Over

 

If you price it up there is very little difference and a three day package holiday with jet two even after flights and there is the option of booking a package at one of the resort on the Costa Blanca. And then book the £59 package for the match and coach travel. I certainly won’t be doing it because I have no interest in a match like this but some people are

 

You must share in double/Triple or multiple occupation rooms. Lovely

 

The only way I’d be going to this game is if I was already in the area around Benidorm.
Anyone booking these trips that isn’t already there is a bit daft.

 

even if you are already there £60 is a bit steep for a pre season match

Reading this thread you would think fans are being forced to go or not able to think for themselves when deciding to go.

 

I don’t think it’s that. I think it’s more of a case of being forced, IF you fancy watching City in Spain. Why make it so complicated and expensive? Allow pay on the day. Make the ticket cheaper. Don’t come down heavy handed and exclude City fans who are already there. Don’t just spring up an unregistered travel company and expect people to trust it. Don’t try and coax money out of fans who might have spent money going down to London. Etc etc. The timing, communication and shear opportunism sucks.

 

That's fair comment. Exclusivity allows an inflated price, the club will churn out some excuse about safety or some other garbage but in effect you have a monopoly on the tickets.

 

Entrepreneurship has to be applauded. My son speaks fluent Spanish so if anyone wants tickets in the home end/section/quarter whatever it is called let me know. Totally agree. My parents live about 50mins away from the location of the game. Flights from the Netherlands are ok so I considered a few days away and using the game as an excuse (however little interest I have for the game, it’s more novelty). That said been forced into a package I’m not into, so I’ll likely not bother out of principle. A shame really….

 

Does anyone know how many are going so far? I've booked the Bronze package and with flights and hotel got it all for less then £400.00 for 3 nights... If anyones staying in Alicante and wants to share transport drop me a line. You can get the train there for 5 euro but it'll be a taxi back by the looks of it..

 

I'm going but not one one of the club's packages. Where I'm staying is only 55 mins away so I 've got the girlfriend to drive there so I can blow the froth off a couple before and during the game.

 

Nice! Getting there doesn’t seem to be a problem but getting back may be as the last train is about 9pm

 

In that case you might want to get the £39 package which (without checking) includes travel to and from the game, a ticket and entry to a fanzone. Although I haven't seen any thing to indicate where you get picked up from. So,I'm assuming that it's Alicante.
